Hallmark star Sarah Drew recently revealed that she’s not the only one in the family who enjoys being on stage. The “Mistletoe Murders” star took to social media to gush over his son in a “Proud mama moment” that fans thought was adorable.
Sarah Drew’s Son Thrived in His First Theater Production
On November 30, Drew posted a handful of photos on her Instagram page. She was with her husband and her daughter, and they were watching her son in a production of “A Christmas Carol.”
Drew and her husband, Peter Lanfer, have two children, Micah and Hannah.
In the caption of her post, Drew explained, “Micah is in his first professional production this holiday season and we just got to see it for the first time last night!”
She gushed that it was a “truly magical production” and noted that Micah plays the role of Peter Cratchit and Young Scrooge. He also portrays a few other small roles in the play, as well.
Micah “absolutely shines” on stage, Drew raved, although she had stellar things to say about everybody in the production.
“All of the actors play multiple characters and they move seamlessly from moment to moment adding magic and mystery to this iconic Christmas ghost story of true redemption,” Drew wrote.
Everybody in the family beamed as they snapped photos before, during, and after the production.
Hallmark Fans Love That Drew’s Son Is Taking After Her
Hallmark fans loved Drew’s post, as did several of her colleagues.
One fan wrote, “He gets it from that talented Mama of his!”
Another gushed, “Go Micah! Bravo…the theatre gene is real and I love it!”
“Oh wow Sarah I bet you were so proud,” someone else added.”
An additional comment read, “So glad you have the chance to see your son shine in his chosen work. Clearly he got this from his mom. The apple did not fall far from the tree!!!”
A fan also added, “What a beautiful family! Enjoy your holidays! I do love you in Mistletoe Murders! Hope there is a season 3!”
Season 2 of “Mistletoe Murders” with Drew and Peter Mooney recently aired on Hallmark. Drew said it’s her favorite job she has ever had, and she hinted that it is possible a third season could be on the horizon.
During an appearance on the “Pop Culture Unplugged” podcast, Drew said that they are waiting on Hallmark before cooking up potential storylines for a third “Mistletoe Mysteries” season.
Hallmark fans certainly seem to want to see it come to fruition, and she encouraged them to make their voices heard.
I watched all the episodes this season and loved them all. Hope for another season. And another!
