Of course, Hollywood is no stranger to having an actor’s kids following their parents’ footsteps. But, for Hallmark star Sarah Drew, not one but two of her kids have gotten the acting bug.
On Instagram on February 12, the “Mistletoe Murders” star revealed that her two kids, Micah, born in 2012, and Hannah, born 2014, have just completed rehearsals for their theater productions. The exciting news then continues with Drew’s own premiere coming up with her new Hallmark movie, “The Stars Between Us.”

While wearing a casual beige sweatshirt and her signature red glasses, Drew shared with her followers how busy her family has been in a new video. “This is a fun little update on life and how full life can be,” she said.
She then revealed that her daughter Hannah performed at the Pasadena Playhouse as part of the Junior Theater Festival, and eventually took home the Best Ensemble Award. As for her son, Micah just completed tech rehearsals for “Richard III” at the A Noise Within Theater. “I saw it last night and it is incredible,” she wrote in the caption.
“It’s just been all shows, all the time in the Drew-Lanfer household and I am living for this,” she said. As a reminder, Drew shares her kids with her longtime husband, Peter Lanfer. “It is so joyous and so much fun.”
She finished the video with a little advice to her followers. “Also, I highly recommend starting your day listening to a Broadway musical soundtrack,” she said, before listing off the incredible soundtrack of “Matilda.”
Sarah Drew’s New Movie Is Right Around the Corner
Keeping the celebrations going, Drew’s new Hallmark with Matt Long will be soon premiering on February 21.
In it, Drew, who rose to fame after playing April Kepner on “Grey’s Anatomy” for several seasons, plays a news reporter named Kim. She travels to Illinois for an eclipse and runs into someone she had a brief romantic connection with seven years earlier during another eclipse.
So far, Hallmark has not released details on Long’s character. However, based on the short synopsis that is available and the photos released so far, it seems safe to say he is that former connection of Kim’s. It also seems safe to say that the sparks the two previously experienced will fly again.
In a short teaser video shared to Drew’s Instagram, it seems her and Long’s character will have differing views on the world around them. While Kim might be cynical, his character believes nothing happens just by chance.
