Amid ‘Queer Eye’ Drama, Fans Are Loving Bobby Berk’s Cheeky Post

Drama is swirling around the cast of Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” with one of the Fab Five — culture and lifestyle coach Karamo Brown — skipping press interviews before the show’s 10th and final season dropped on January 21, 2026.

But as rumors of on-set bullying dominate the headlines, fans are loving how Bobby Berk — the group’s co-star for six years before he jumped ship in 2023 and later joined HGTV — seems entirely unbothered, enjoying the view from where he now sits.

Fans Say Timing of Bobby Berk’s Post is ‘Impeccable’

Berk, who now stars on HGTV’s “Junk or Jackpot?,” rose to fame on “Queer Eye,” giving people across the U.S. meaningful life makeovers alongside Karamo, fashion consultant Tan France, beauty expert Jonathan Van Ness, and foodie Antoni Porowski. After Berk’s departure, he was replaced by former HGTV star Jeremiah Brent.

On January 20, before the final season debuted on Netflix, Brown didn’t show up for interviews with his fellow castmates on national outlets like the “Today Show” and “CBS Mornings.” His spokesperson released a statement that said, “Karamo has felt mentally and emotionally abused for years and he’s been advised by his therapist to protect himself and his peace by not attending.”

Berk did not comment on the drama as it was unfolding, but as Netflix began streaming the new season on January 21, he uploaded a social media photo of himself looking happy and relaxed outdoors. In the caption, he wrote, “How’s everyone’s week going?! Have you seen my new show ‘Junk or Jackpot?!’ on  @hgtv, @hbomax and @discoveryplus ?”

Thousands of fans interpreted his post as a subtle, cheeky jab at all the drama that was continuing on without him, including one who commented, “Timing is impeccable 🤌🏼” and another who teased, “Plan my funeral because I just died.”

When someone quipped, “Bobby out here using the drama algorithm 👏👏👏,” Berk humorously replied, “The lord doth provide”

Someone else wrote, “Just out here minding your own business with your new show, huh? 🤪” and Berk responded, “exactly!”

Fans Love Bobby Berk’s Song Choice After ‘Queer Eye’ Drama

Others noticed the music playing beneath Berk’s post — Chappelle Roan’s “My Kink Is Karma,” featuring the lyrics: “We broke up on a Tuesday / Kicked me out with the rent paid / Ruined my credit / Stole my cute aesthetic / Who knew that we’d let it get this bad when it ended. / It’s comical, bridges you burn / If karma’s real, hope it’s your turn.”

One fan exclaimed, “THE SONG CHOICE HAHAHA #karma” and another wrote, “I’m at a coffee shop with my sister so I couldn’t play the music, so imagine my sheer joy when I realise what the song choice is hahahahahaha”

In early 2024, after revealing he was leaving “Queer Eye,” Berk told Vanity Fair that he and his castmates had all signed a seven-season contract that lasted through late 2022. When they wrapped filming, he said that “the Fab Five and the crew, we all stood there, and we took pictures and cried. We thought we were done. Mentally and emotionally, I thought we all moved on. I know I did, and I started planning other things.”

But in 2023, Netflix renewed the show and the other four gurus decided to return, with former HGTV star Jeremiah Brent taking Berk’s place. Rumors swirled that Berk had a falling out with France, especially when he unfollowed the fashionista on Instagram. He confirmed to Vanity Fair that “there was a situation, and that’s between Tan and I,” but he assumed at the time it would all get worked out.

“Should I have unfollowed Tan? No,” Berk told the outlet. “Maybe I should have just muted him. But that day, I was angry, and that’s the end of it. We became like siblings—and siblings are always going to fight.”

As of January 22, Berk still wasn’t following France on Instagram, nor Van Ness or Porowski, but was following Karamo and Brent. “Junk or Jackpot?” airs Friday nights on HGTV at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time and is available to stream on HBO Max.
