Nicole Curtis is sharing some thoughts on the Wyoming home she renovated for “Rehab Addict” before HGTV canceled the show. See why Curtis said she has “no regrets.”
Nicole Curtis Reflects on Wyoming House & HGTV Cancellation
On April 24, Curtis took to Instagram to post a couple of photos of the home in Wyoming that she renovated for “Rehab Addict.”
“Do I regret saving it?” she asked in text over the first photo.
She answered the question on the second image that showed taxidermy mounted on the wall: “Nope, it’s a mausoleum for these guys and that brings me some comfort.”
“No regrets in life,” she wrote in the caption. “I fell in love with a house that needed saving and even though, it added chaos to my life … no regrets.”
Curtis also appeared to reference HGTV cancelling her show, noting, “I can’t help, but think, it came in my path to cut ties that, maybe, I would have never had the courage to cut on my own 😌.”
She shared, “My flag is down as the wind is very strong today. The brick was a stucco facade, we never paint real brick. The taxidermy is all vintage and we rescued all of them from various antique stores, family estates and flea markets.”
“These episodes are airing everywhere you’ll find my show, I mean, almost everywhere 🙃,” Curtis added, referencing that the show is no longer airing on HGTV. “God Bless.”
In a June 2025 interview with OK! magazine, Curtis talked about how the little house in Wyoming brought her back to TV.
“We ended our last episode in 2022. At the time, I was like, ‘I am good for now,’ and I thought I would produce other shows,” Curtis explained. “We developed our new production company and then I found this little house in Wyoming, and I just had to have it!”
She continued, “I was like, ‘Wow, this is a great example of what you shouldn’t do!’ The joke was that we’re going to unflip the flip.”
“When we first developed the show, we didn’t know where it was going to land,” the “Rehab Addict” star added. “It was my production company, but HGTV got right on it and was like, ‘We’ll take it back. We want it back, come home.'”
HGTV Canceled ‘Rehab Addict’ After Video Showed Nicole Curtis Using Racial Slur
On February 11, Radar Online published a video of Curtis saying a racial slur during a moment of frustration while filming “Rehab Addict.” HGTV fired Curtis and pulled her show from the schedule.
On February 12, Curtis took to Instagram in a since-deleted post to apologize for saying the word and explained more about footage.
“This isn’t a post I ever thought I’d be writing and I’ve drafted this more times that I can count and nothing seems to be enough,” she wrote at tthe time. “There is anger, there is hate, there is pain. I’m here to take it.”
Curtis noted, “I haven’t been hiding, ignoring, waiting for this to pass. I’ve just been playing this all over and over again and watching the video and having this all out together to say the right thing, do the right thing after doing the wrongest of wrongs.”
“I am sorry,” she wrote. “I am filled with remorse and regret, just as much as I was one second after that word was said 4 years ago in 2022. I show this, I say this and I realize you are getting a limited view as what has been circulating is a clip of MY footage that was stolen then manipulated, edited and sold to [a] tabloid to coincide with my return to television only to create this chaos of hate, anger, disappointment.”
She also shared, “I am not [a] victim. Nothing I say or do will take that moment 4 years ago away. I know it was wrong. This will never happen again.”
