Nicole Curtis‘ show “Rehab Addict” was canceled in 2026, and she’s already hinting at her next chapter. The former HGTV star teased that “something new” is on the way for fans in just a few weeks.
Nicole Curtis Reveals She’s Working on ‘Something New’
On May 7, Curtis took to Instagram to share a look at some of the bathroom renovations she’s worked on. She also hinted that she has “something new” coming out in just weeks.
“The first thing to go in old houses? Original bathrooms,” she explained in the caption. “People gut them all day long and IMHO they are one of the best parts.”
She continued, “I stick by these solid rules: 1. Anything before 1959 is worth saving, 2. Most are just dirty — clean the tile, 3. Old tubs look gross as they lose their finish … $400-$600 gets you a reglaze and looks fab.”
“4. There are amazing tile experts who specialize in repairs and regrouting,” the former HGTV star shared. “5. If a plumber has never seen a bathroom that old — find one who has — a leaky original faucet needs a new part that is probably $5 compared to being replaced, 6. Identify what’s original — replace the rest.”
Curtis added, “Oh, and watch more #rehabaddict 😂. I, mean, if you can find them 😬😎 … but don’t worry, cause in a few weeks — I’ll have something new for you.”
Fans lit up the comments section with messages about missing her on TV. “You need to do another show on YouTube so I can watch you,” one fan wrote. “So appreciate you, learning so much.”
HGTV canceled “Rehab Addict” in February 2026 after footage of Curtis using a racial slur surfaced online.
She told TMZ in a statement at the time, “I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologize to everyone.”
“I’m grateful for the 15-year journey we’ve shared,” Curtis noted. “It’s been a meaningful chapter, but my focus isn’t on my career. My focus, at this moment is rightfully on my relationships, and my community — the people who truly know my character and where my heart is.”
Nicole Curtis Teased New YouTube Content
Curtis shared an update in her April 16 email newsletter, noting, “It’s been the Twilight Zone over here. From media reports, you would think my world ended, but if you know me, as all of you on this email do, you know that the value of my life was never placed on a show.”
“My past few months my heartache wasn’t due to this bs, but a real life problem,” she explained.
The home improvement star shared that new content would be coming soon to YouTube. “We dug up my old YouTube channel and you can subscribe there as my guys have things in motion. (and by things, I mean house episodes, Behind the scenes and anything else they conjure up from my days of really being on a job site as I have been for 30 + years — not just to pretend on TV),” she wrote.
Curtis added, “If you want to check it out — there’s some old videos from Dollar houses on there. And the shows are still airing on a lot of streaming networks like ROKU and Apple TV.”
