Nicole Curtis is apologizing again for using a racial slur in a controversial video that leaked online in February. The former HGTV star appeared on “The Breakfast Club” to explain what happened and take accountability, sharing that “everyone advised against” the interview.

On March 10, Curtis appeared on “The Breakfast Club” to discuss the moment she said a racial slur that resulted in HGTV firing her.
The renovation expert explained that she often says things like “fart digger” and “fart knocker” rather than cursing on her show and accidentally combined them. “I don’t have a rhyme or reason of the words that I make up … I say nonsense stuff all the time,” she noted. “I’m off the cuff. I’m not scripted.”
After the video leaked, Curtis apologized. “First of all, I apologized to my children first,” she shared during the interview. “That was most important.”
She added that she apologized to everyone and looked in the camera to apologize again. “That is a word I do not condone,” Curtis said.
“I made a mistake, I know I made a mistake,” she added.
The “Rehab Addict” star also shared, “I didn’t come on here to prove myself.”
Later that day, Curtis took to Instagram to explain more, sharing how it was important to her to have that interview, even though “no one thought this was a good idea.”
She shared in the caption: “Everyone advised against this, to be honest. 💯no one thought this was a good idea for me and I reached out and asked if they would have the conversation.”
Curtis noted, “Here’s what happens in life when we stay in our own echo chambers — we stay stuck.”
“Thank you to Loren for answering my call. I realize they are getting heat for giving me time from their followers, I think it’s time we all got out of our comfort zones and have these conversations,” she explained.
Curtis added, “Thank to Jess — this pic is, seriously, 2 moms chatting about life, kids, struggles. God Bless ❤️.”
Fans Respond to ‘Rehab Addict’ Star’s Interview
While many of the commenters on the YouTube clip of her “Breakfast Club” interview thought it went poorly, her Instagram post about the appearance received a flood of positive comments.
“Both of you will get hate from people that don’t matter. But, talking about issues, understanding them, and learning from them is the best way to move forward,” one fan wrote.

I love her show and all she does with Old Buildings she is GREAT. I can not gt her on my networks but when I t Sit i get the joy of trying to find her show and binge watch.
