‘Catfish’ Alum Kamie Crawford Just Shared the Surprise of Her Life

Kamie Crawford is officially off the market. The former “Catfish: The TV Show” host and model revealed she’s engaged, sharing the happy news with fans on Instagram on Sept. 28.

The 32-year-old posted photos on social media from the special night, showing off her stunning oval-cut diamond ring and her mystery fiancé, whose identity she continues to keep private. The proposal took place in New York City, where the couple posed on a candlelit balcony adorned with flowers and overlooking the city skyline.

“This was truly the best night of my life,” Crawford told E! News, adding that she and her partner were “over the moon” to finally share their love publicly.

A Special Night Surrounded by Family and Friends

Crawford wore an ivory silk dress with black detailing, while her fiancé opted for a gray jacket with a black turtleneck. In one photo, he knelt with a smile as Crawford cupped his face, the moment captured against the glittering Manhattan skyline.

The celebration didn’t end there. Crawford revealed her family and friends had played a big part in planning the surprise, with her sister waiting to greet her after the proposal. “My family is my entire world & helped plan the most perfect proposal of my literal dreams,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. The night continued with champagne, roses, and a cake surrounded by loved ones.

A Relationship Built With Intention

While Crawford has kept her fiancé’s name private — playfully referring to him online as “Wizard Kelly,” a nod to “The Proud Family” — she previously shared insight into their romance. In a 2024 TikTok, she revealed that from their first date, the relationship was never casual. Even while she traveled abroad for filming, the couple remained exclusive, and her partner made it clear they were dating with marriage in mind.

Crawford also spoke about her new relationship on her “Relationsht*” podcast in early 2024, calling it “a beaming hope of light” during a tough year. “I’ve never been happier in my life in a relationship, ever,” she shared.

The engagement comes less than a year after Crawford announced her departure from Catfish following six years on the MTV series. At the time, she said she was “so grateful” for the experience but ready to pursue new dreams. Now, as she begins this next chapter, Crawford’s focus is on love, family, and what’s next.

On social media, Crawford reflected on the emotional moment, writing, “Literally my heart is so full. I have not stopped crying and I’m not sure if I will,” per People.
