“The Challenge: Vets & New Threats” is heating up, with the contestants competing in a mini final in the last episode.
The daily challenge had the players race up a hill that consisted of checkpoints that they were required to complete before moving on.
This challenge was key to getting more points, which the players needed in order to choose their partners for the rest of the season.
Unfortunately, TJ announced that some of the contestants cheated during the eating portion, which erased any points they acquired.
Ultimately, they were able to pick their partners with the points they had from prior challenges, and this is now the lineup:
Michaela Bradshaw and Cedric Hodges, Yeremi Hykel and Aviv Melmed, Olivia Kaiser and Will Gagnon, Sydney Segal and Turbo Çamkıran, Aneesa Ferreira and Jake Cornish, Adrienne Naylor and Theo Campbell, Justin Hinsley and Nany Gonzalez, Leo Temory and Ashley Mitchell, CT Tamburello and Tay Wilcoxsin, America Lopez and Leroy Garrett, Dee Valladares and Derek Kosinski, and Gabe Wai and Jonna Mannion.

The Infamous Trivia Challenge
Today’s episode features one of TJ Lavin’s favorite challenges: Trivia. Those who have been following “The Challenge” know that this event always takes place above a body of water, and if the players get the answer wrong, down they go.
This time, the contestants are placed on a stair climber, which increasingly speeds up. While they’re climbing, they have to answer the questions on the machine, and the team that gets the most points wins.
The first heat consists of Turbo, CT, Aneesa, Michaela, Leo, Cedric, America, Nany, Will, and Adrienne.
CT has trouble keeping his hands off the machine, despite multiple warnings from TJ. He claims that his feet were too big for the steps and ends up jumping into the water, immediately disqualifying him.
After a couple of questions, Aneesa can’t keep up with the speed and jumps off as well, with America following close behind.
Adrienne and Turbo jump next, and the stair climber is getting faster. Leo is next to go in the water, followed by Will and Nany.
The Second Heat
Round two consists of Gabriel, Jonna, Derrick, Yeremi, Justin, Olivia, Michaela, and Aviv. Jonna struggles to maintain her balance and drops her computer into the water, deeming her out.
Gabriel and Justin fall off next, and the remaining players keep plugging on. Eventually, Aviv tires out and falls in the water, followed by Derrick.
Now, it’s just against Yeremi and Michaela, but the “Amazing Race” star drops into the water, making Michaela the winner of the second heat.
The Third Heat
The third heat has Ashley, Leroy, Theo, Jake, Sydney, Tay, Cedric, and Dee competing. After losing his balance, Leroy plunges into the lake, and Ashley is next.
Theo falls off after failing to guess the square root of 49, and Dee follows. Cedric gets another math answer wrong and does a backflip into the lake, leaving Sydney the winner of the round.
The team that got last place and is going into elimination is CT and Tay. The rest of the cast make up the jury and have to pick a team to go against the losing pair.
TJ’s Twist
After TJ declares Michaela and Cedric the winners of the trivia challenge, he announces a twist: “You can steal a partner,” he says.
“So, if you stake the claim, then you and the partner of the person you want to steal are going to take off. You will have a one vs. one competition where only one of you will come back victorious.”
“If you stake a claim and win, you get to partner up with the person that you were competing for. Then your partner goes to them, and we’ll have a jury as normal. If you lose, you and your original partner go into the arena.”
When TJ asks if anyone wants to stake a claim on another person’s partner, no one speaks up. The vote ultimately falls on Theo and Adrienne against CT and Tay.
Who Gets Sent Home
The elimination tonight is called “Busting Balls.” One blindfolded person has to launch the ball while their teammate guides them.
Theo and Adrienne get the first hit, with CT and Tay following; however, the teams soon become neck and neck.
Adrienne gets the shot with Theo’s guidance, and CT and Tay are next to leave “The Challenge.” Upon Ct leaving, TJ tells him, “You’re a G.O.A.T. Pleasure having you as always. I really cannot wait to see when you come back.”
