Ariana Grande is preparing to head out on her first major tour in seven years, but she revealed fans shouldn’t expect her to return to the road anytime soon. During her appearance on “Good Hang with Amy Poehler”, the singer said her 2026 “Eternal Sunshine” arena tour will likely be her final tour “for a long, long, long, long time,” explaining that she plans to step back from the pace of pop touring to explore new creative chapters. Grande said she plans to give this run everything she has because it feels like “one last hurrah” before shifting her focus elsewhere.
Grande explained that years of nonstop pop stardom eventually “took over” her life, and now she’s working to prioritize other passions. She said she feels more grounded and creatively connected than she has in years, especially as she leans deeper into acting and theater work. While she emphasized she is deeply grateful for what her pop era brought her, she also said the next decade of her life will look very different from the whirlwind energy that defined her twenties.
Her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, announced earlier this year, launches June 6, 2026, in Oakland and spans 27 dates, including Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Boston and five nights in London. The tour supports her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” and follows her short film “Brighter Days Ahead”, released with the album’s expanded reissue.
A Shift Toward Acting and Theater Work
As she prepares for her next era, Grande confirmed she plans to focus more heavily on acting once she wraps her “Wicked: For Good” press tour. Speaking to Today, on Nov. 18, she shared that film and stage work are currently inspiring her the most. Grande said she is not stepping away from singing entirely but wants a more balanced creative life that allows both art forms to “feed one another.”
The singer also revealed she hopes to eventually return to the stage, calling it a “dream” to find the right project. Grande started her career on Broadway in “13: The Musical” and said theater has always held a special place for her.
Her growing list of acting roles includes the upcoming comedy “Focker In-Law” and a return to Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” for Netflix. She said filming with actors like Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro and Owen Wilson was “spectacular” and a meaningful milestone in her acting journey.
A Hint at a Future Stage Project
Grande also sparked speculation earlier this month when she hinted to the New York Times that she has a “stage-related” project coming soon. She clarified that it isn’t Broadway but something she is “very excited about and inspired by,” immediately setting off rumors that she may step onto the London stage next.
As she steps into what she calls a “new chapter,” Grande said she feels more creatively aligned than ever. “I think the thing that will be best for my soul and for my art is chasing what feels right in the moment,” she said.

Truth is she can’t sing without huge amounts of background music and she just proved she can’t act either! This is just a way to get whatever people who can’t see this to crowd her shows one more time then she’ll tour again the following year!
