Carly Rae Jepsen is officially stepping into a new role. The singer has welcomed her first baby with husband Cole M.G.N. and shared the news with fans in a personal way.
Jepsen posted a mirror selfie on her Instagram Story, holding her newborn, who was dressed in a green and white striped onesie. Alongside the photo, she reflected on her first days as a mom.
“Last 2 weeks have been the best of my life,” Jepsen wrote. “Welcome to the world little one.”
The update marks a major milestone for the “Call Me Maybe” singer, who has kept much of her personal life private over the years but has offered small glimpses into this new chapter.
A New Chapter After Months of Anticipation
The announcement comes just a few months after Jepsen revealed she was expecting. In November 2025, she shared a series of black-and-white photos on Instagram showing her baby bump alongside Cole, writing, “Oh hi baby .”
In the months leading up to the birth, Jepsen gave fans a look into her pregnancy journey. In January, she posted beach photos cradling her bump and shared how she and Cole were preparing for their baby’s arrival.
“We landed on this song as our fav lullaby so far,” she wrote at the time, adding, “We might change the last line… to ‘won’t you sleep through the night’ later on, but honestly, ready for the 3 a.m. parties as well.”
She also reflected on how long they had been thinking about starting a family, sharing a throwback image of the couple and noting it was from when “this baby thing was just an idea.”
Inside Her Relationship With Husband Cole M.G.N.
Jepsen’s journey into motherhood comes after a series of major life moments with her husband. The couple got engaged in September 2024 before tying the knot in October 2025 at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City, according to Vogue.
Cole M.G.N., whose real name is Cole Marsden Greif-Neill, is a Grammy-winning music producer who has worked with artists like Beck, Anderson .Paak and Christine & the Queens, per Elle. He and Jepsen first connected professionally while working on her 2023 album “The Loveliest Time” before their relationship turned romantic in 2022.
Jepsen has previously spoken about how supportive he has been throughout her career and personal life. “Go chase everything. I’m here when you’re home,” she said of their relationship.
Now, after a year of marriage and months of anticipation, the couple is beginning their next chapter together as parents.
