Carly Rae Jepsen Is Expecting Her First Child

Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen surprised fans with joyous news via Instagram on Monday — she’s expecting her first child with husband Cole M.G.N. (real name Cole Marsden Greif-Neill).

The 39-year-old singer shared a series of tasteful black-and-white photos on Monday, Nov. 3, including one in which she cradles her baby bump while the Grammy-winning producer gently puts his hands over hers.

Her caption read simply, “Oh hi baby ♥️.”

Fans were quick to express their well wishes for the soon to be parents.

“Gah!!! So happy for you both!!!” one user wrote.

Another added, “Congratulations that’s wonderful!”

The Two Recently Tied the Knot

Jepsen and Cole married just weeks ago, on October 4, 2025, in an intimate ceremony at New York City’s iconic Chelsea Hotel.

The 39-year-old singer met her now-husband during a songwriting session in 2021, and their relationship blossomed from professional collaborators to partners, according to Vogue.

She shared some of the gorgeous images on social media and wrote, “Husband. That feels good to say.”

Jespen also dished on her wedding dress to the outlet and noted the two were trying for a baby.

“We knew we were trying to get pregnant, so I also wanted an alternative dress that was much more flowy that I could sub in for the ceremony or just change into for dancing,” she said.

She also gushed to the outlet about her stunning wedding.

“Between the bright baby blue of the background, the wildflowers that surrounded us, and the intimate lighting, walking down the aisle felt like a fever dream. Nothing will top the moment when we first locked eyes, and to be honest, for the first half of the ceremony we couldn’t see anyone else,” she added.

Jespen Previously Dished on Her Husband

As the two work together, their relationship quickly turned romantic.

The “Call Me Maybe” singer told PEOPLE in July 2023 that the song “So Right” was inspired by their romance. It opens with a skit about two people trying to decide if they want to hang out after hours.

“I would’ve been too shy beforehand to be like, ‘Do you want to do a skit at the beginning?’ But now that we’re so close, it was just really fun and playful to be like, ‘Let’s have this very ’80s drama skit at the beginning where you ask me if I should come over and I say no, but then I come anyways,'” she told the outlet.

She also expressed how nice it is to have a partner who understands her occupation.

“It’s really wild getting to travel and have somebody understand what you do and be like, ‘Go chase everything. I’m here when you’re home,'” she gushed.
