Heartbreaking new details have emerged in the search for the partner of music legend Mick Jagger’s granddaughter. On February 1, Sun UK reported that a body was recovered from the sea in Cornwall.
Emergency services were called to a beach in Bude on Tuesday evening following reports of a man’s body in the water. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Ongoing as Police Await Formal Identification
While writing the story, Sun reported that the formal identification has not yet taken place, though police believe it is Alexander Key, 37, who has been missing for several days.
As per local reports, the authorities confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious and that a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Last Sightings Before He Vanished
As per the police, Key was last seen on Friday, January 23, after visiting The Cobweb Inn in Boscastle. CCTV footage showed him leaving the pub at around 2:20 p.m. before walking through the village.
Additional images later captured him moving toward Boscastle Harbour and the River Valency.
Investigators said they were eager to speak with two dog walkers who passed him shortly after he was last seen on camera, believing they could shed further light on his movements.
Sun reported that Devon and Cornwall Police were notified of his disappearance the following day and said they grew “increasingly concerned” for his welfare as search efforts widened along the coastline.
Family’s Quiet Plea and Community Support
Key was the longtime partner of Assisi Jackson, the daughter of Jade Jagger. The Daily Mail reported that the couple had two children and lived in Cornwall, where Key operated a seafood restaurant in Boscastle.
As worry mounted, Jade Jagger amplified police appeals on social media, while local businesses and community members helped spread images and information in hopes of locating him.
After the recovery, Devon and Cornwall Police issued a statement saying: “Mr Key’s family has thanked police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, along with all those who assisted in the search for him.
“They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
Key was a familiar and well-liked figure in the Boscastle community, known for his work and devotion to his family. He co-owned The Rocket Store, a local seafood restaurant, and had built a life rooted in the coastal town.
While questions remain for those who loved him, police have emphasized there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Very sad. Could be very drunk and confused when he walked too close to the water.
Sounded like he had a good life.
