Music legend Mick Jagger‘s fiancée, Melanie Hamrick, is bravely sharing the frightening ordeal she faced in London. The 38-year-old former ballerina, who is engaged to Rolling Stones frontman, took to social media to share an incident that has shaken her.

GettyTaking to social media, she shared that she was assaulted outside Annabel’s, a private members’ club in Mayfair.
“This is incredibly hard to share – but I was physically attacked at @annabelsmayfair tonight,” Hamrick wrote, as reported by the UK Sun.
“Two people grabbed me from behind, and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me,” she added.
She made it clear she was not alone. “I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me,” she added.
The emotional impact lingered long after. “I’m shaken, sad, and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way,” she concluded.
Annabel’s and Authorities Have Not Responded
The U.K. newspaper The Sun reported the incident as an “opportunist mugging,” though authorities have not confirmed that account or provided further detail. As of the writing of this story, officials have not released any additional information.

Mick Jagger and Melanie Hamrick first met in February 2014 at a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo, according to reports.
At the time, Hamrick was 26 and dancing with the American Ballet Theatre. She and fellow dancers were given tickets to the show while performing in Tokyo.
According to The Times, Jagger greeted her backstage with a fist bump before taking the stage.
Since then, Hamrick and Jagger have kept their relationship largely private.
They welcomed their son, Deveraux, in 2016. He is Jagger’s eighth child.

After years of speculation, Hamrick confirmed in April 2025 that she and the musician had “been engaged two or three years.”
Hamrick has also addressed public discussion about their 44-year age difference.
“I don’t think about it. Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyse it,” she told The Times in 2024.
She added, “I put the blinders on. Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. OK, they can mind their own business.”
The family often spends time in France. In addition to Deveraux, Jagger is the father to Karis, Jade, Elizabeth, Georgia May, James, Gabriel, and Lucas from previous relationships.

Talking about getting attacked with nothing bad happening in the end is “brave”? If something horrible happened I could understand that, but there’s nothing brave about this. Don’t get me wrong, i’m glad she’s okay, but just because a celebrity (I assume, I’ve never heard of these people yet they are in an article.) Brings up the fact they were attacked doesn’t make them some banner of bravery, especially when nothing even happened, and nothing was even close to happening because, as she stated, her friends protected her.
