Demi Lovato released her latest album, “It’s Not That Deep,” in 2025. She also announced a new tour to support the record, set to begin in April 2026. The latest is that the beloved singer is taking steps to protect her well-being, making a few changes to her schedule.
Demi Lovato Is Postponing Her Tour
GettyLovato posted on her Instagram Story on February 10 to update fans on the tour schedule. The singer said, “My Lovatics — I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can.
While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible. To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”
Lovato’s “It’s Not That Deep Tour” was set to begin on April 8 in North Carolina. Now, with the changes, the first stop will be on April 13 in Orlando, Florida. Following the change, her tour is not currently scheduled to include North Carolina, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, or Denver.
The singer also stated that people who bought tickets for the now canceled shows will receive refunds automatically. However, those who opted for third-party vendors will need to contact the point of purchase.
She ended by saying, “I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me! Thank you for your support always. I love you, and I cannot wait to see you soon.”
The Singer’s ‘It’s Not That Deep’ Album Is a Different Pace From The Past
Lovato has been active in the entertainment industry since the early 2000s. As a result, fans have gotten to know many different versions of her, both as a singer and as an actress. Now, with her new album, she’s been open about all that went into its creation.
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer spoke to AP News in October 2025 about the process. She said, “I’ve put so much energy and so much love into this album. I just couldn’t be more excited. I went into this album thinking, ‘I’m gonna make an even harder rock album. I wanna go even more rock.’
So, I started this process, and I realized, I was like, ‘There’s only so many happy rock songs that you can write.’ I’m in love, I’m feeling empowered, and I’m in this really great place, and I don’t know how to write rock songs that are, you know, all sunshine and rainbows.”
Lovato continued, discussing making her new dance-pop album, “And there’s only so many of those that you can write. And so, I was like, “I need to switch up the genre.” So, I tried a couple of other genres, but what was really inspiring me was all the pop girlies and the pop artists that are out there today.”
