SEE INSIDE: Uma Thurman’s Former Manhattan Duplex Is Selling for $8.95 Million

A Manhattan abode that Uma Thurman once called home has hit the market for $8.95 million, according to Realtor.com.

Located in Gramercy Park, Uma — who is the mother of “Stranger Things” star Maya Hawke — had previously owned another duplex in the same Lexington Avenue building during her divorce from Ethan Hawke.

A two-floor apartment, the stunning space boasts a pair of units that the “Pulp Fiction” star combined to make one larger home.

Following her divorce from Ethan in 2005, which came after the couple separated in 2003, Uma first purchased a two-story residence on the eighth and ninth floors in 2006 for $2.65 million. Then, in 2012, the actress picked up an additional unit on the eighth floor for $1.55 million. Uma combined the two units to make one larger abode. She also spent five years tackling renovations to the home, per The New York Times.

Uma eventually sold the home in 2016 and earned $6.6 million for the impressive residence.

The Apartment Is Surprisingly Large for the Area

Uma’s former apartment is found in a building that was built back in 1910 and is mostly made up of duplexes.

As for the apartment itself, Realtor.com notes that it happens to be “much larger than the typical downtown prewar unit.”

“Typically, you would have found these [larger apartments] uptown, on the Upper East Side,” said Chris Kann of Corcoran, who shares the listing with Jennifer Ireland.

Kann also noted that “[t]he entry has a beautiful staircase, it has a real formal dining room and a real corner living room with a wood-burning fireplace,” adding that “[i]t feels like you almost have a townhouse.”

The Apartment Has Plenty to Offer the Owners

Whoever snaps up Uma’s former apartment will be able to enjoy upgrades that were added by the current sellers, like new windows and air conditioning. That’s not to mention the spectacular 10-foot high ceilings that add to the overall space, as well as a private outdoor terrace that is one of a limited number in the building.

Offering a total of five separate bedrooms, “the upstairs primary suite featur[es] a hammam-like shower that includes a separate soaking tub,” per Realtor.com.

Beyond that, “[t]he portion of the apartment that was added by Thurman still has its own entrance, allowing the flexible space—which currently houses a bedroom, a library and a media room/bedroom—to easily serve as a separate private area, like an in-law suite.”
