Stanley Tucci Makes ‘Surprising’ Announcement About the Future of His Popular Food Show

Stanley Tucci is making a major move when it comes to his popular food show, “Tucci in Italy.” In fact, he’s making such a significant change to the series that he’s had to give it a new name.

That’s because Tucci has announced that the National Geographic show, which can be found on Disney+, is leaving Italy behind and moving to an entirely different location.

Tucci’s Show Is Leaving Italy for the United Kingdom

On Friday, August 7, Parade reported that Tucci has revealed the “surprising” new location where his show will be filmed, noting that “after spending years eating his way across Italy,” the star will now be exploring the culinary scene in the United Kingdom.

Although this might be an unexpected move for the show, it makes sense for Tucci, who has lived in England for almost 15 years.

On top of that, in January, London was deemed the #1 Food Destination in the World by the 2026 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, so fans will surely be interested to see what the city and the entire area of Great Britain have to offer.

As for Tucci, during a chat on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, he explained, “I wanted to do the U.K. because I just feel like there’s so much here.”

The star also gave viewers an idea of what they’ll be able to watch on the new season of his show — or rather, a new version of the show called “Tucci in Great Britain.” He noted that he wants to give people a look at British cuisine that goes beyond what they might normally see.

He mentioned that he’s “not just talking about fancy restaurants,” but said, “I think that the produce that’s here — the seafood that’s here, the meat that’s here, the devoted people like these fishermen or lobstermen, or a guy who raises pigs that will be like the best pork you’ll ever eat — that kind of stuff is amazing.”

He continued by saying, “And then, really amazing chefs that are devoted to farm-to-table or farm-to-fork, I guess is the new expression.”

You Can Also See Stanley Whip Up His Own Dishes at Home

Fans of “Tucci in Italy” will know that the star loves to introduce his viewers to the kind of delectable delights that they can enjoy while dining out at restaurants. At the same time, he often gives his social media followers a look at the dishes he and his family get to enjoy at home.

For instance, on Saturday, August 1, he took to Instagram to share a video of himself preparing Pasta e Ceci, otherwise known as pasta with chickpeas.

The recipe he uses comes from Julius Roberts’ “The Farm Table” cookbook, and in the caption of Tucci’s post, the actor and TV show host wrote, “One of those recipes that’s somehow greater than the sum of its parts. If a bowl of pasta and chickpeas doesn’t sound exciting, I’d encourage you to give this a try.”

If you’re interested in trying out other recipes that Tucci has shared via social media, then you might want to add chicken and leek pie (also a creation from Roberts) to your upcoming menu.

Or perhaps you might want to whip up what the star describes as a “sloppy” yet sumptuous frittata with “eggs, wild garlic, parmigiano and salt,” as well as “a little sourdough on the side.” Yum!
