If you’ve ever dreamed of whipping up a meal like an Iron Chef, then you now have the perfect opportunity. That’s because Marc Forgione is renting out his incredible New York City home that boasts a kitchen worthy of a skilled (or simply enthusiastic) cook. That’s not to mention the stunning design that comes right from the celebrity chef himself and the kind of outdoor space that’s truly a rare find in the big city.
So why isn’t Forgione still living in the home? Well, he and his wife, Kristen Angelilli, who were already parents to one son, welcomed twin baby girls into their family at the end of 2024. This means that the family now needs additional space, which is why they’ve relocated to a larger residence in Queens.
However, Forgione isn’t ready to let go of his NYC home just yet, which is why he’s put it up for rent — and when you see the amazing abode, you’ll understand why the star doesn’t want to give up this jewel of a space.

However, for that amount, they’ll be able to live in the celebrity chef’s “custom-designed Manhattan apartment,” which Mansion Global deemed an “oasis” in the middle of the city.
The dwelling located in Chelsea is one of two homes found in an 1880s building, and boasts two bedrooms and the same number of bathrooms as well as 1,028 square feet. Of course, Mansion Global notes that there’s also a “true chef’s kitchen,” along with “an open-plan living area that leads to a spacious terrace more than half the size of the apartment itself with a garden.”
“You’re literally on the High Line,” Forgione told Mansion Global. “I built an urban garden, so that it’s also now completely private. You can hear and feel the High Line but you can sit out there and nobody can see you.”
Forgione and Angelilli gutted the home before tackling a major renovation after buying it for $2 million back in 2017, according to property records on PropertyShark, per Mansion Global.
The chef talked about the flow that was created during the interior’s overhaul, telling Mansion Global, “The kitchen goes into the living room and the living room goes into the dining room, so it’s all one big open space. When we entertained, everyone would hang out in the kitchen and then the flow would go outside, but when it’s just the family, you never have to move more than 6 inches from the island. It’s perfect.”
He added, “It’s crazy how open this whole apartment gets in the spring and summer. It’s really magical.”
