When Maya Hawke appeared at “Stranger Things” The Final Season Celebration at The Paley Museum on December 18, she showed off a super-trendy sheer look. However, instead of opting for a typical see-through dress, she boldly showed up in an ensemble that was rather unique and undeniably eye-catching.
GettySlaying a sheer black piece, it was mostly made up of a skirt section with long straps that boast a black lace. Underneath, she wore a pair of black panties.
GettyWhile the sheer piece was unique enough on its own, Hawke decided to pair it with a brown button-up shirt with a red sweater over top. The straps of the sheer item then stretched over both of those pieces and extended onto her shoulders.
GettyThe star also opted to wear her hair down and parted in the middle with a either a rather serious look on her face or a joyful smile.
Maya Stays True to Her Personal Style
GettyWhen it comes to fashion and her personal style, Hawke certainly isn’t afraid to stay true to herself.
‘Right now, I’m wearing dirty jeans, an old T-shirt and and a yellow felted coat, that my mom [Uma Thurman] got for me at a festival in Hudson Valley recently…,” she told Elle UK. “All of the most stylish people I know have a uniform, and mine is blue jeans, t-shirts and jackets.”
“It’s that thing of wanting to dress more like the designer themselves than the clothes they’ve designed,” she added.
“In terms of inspiration, I definitely inherited tonnes from my mom,” Hawke continued. “I am totally inspired by her.”

At the same time, “Hawke also isn’t afraid to keep things simple, as with this classic black dress and strappy sandals combo.”

6. “Try mixing textures.”
“Mixing fabrics looks effortlessly chic” and might be something you want to try.

Mix up fabrics, styles, colors and more!

Don’t forget, “[i]f the tailored trouser suit isn’t for you, … a printed skirt and matching jacket can look just as chic.”
Getty10. “One-tone dressing is always a winner.”
