Dominika Elischerova, affectionately known as Mina, was a rising star in MMA, and a social media influencer with a growing following on Instagram. She died after a horrific motor vehicle accident involving a truck that hit her while she was riding her scooter, The Sun reports. She was 23.
Elischerova’s accident happened on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand while she was traveling to her Muay Thai training. The news of her death has resulted in an outpouring of love from friends and fans.

Elischerova was a Czech national, and her teammate, Samir Margina, witnessed the incident and was openly critical of the medics, The Sun reports. “Mina’s heart has failed three times, now for the fourth time, put her in a coma four times,” he told CNN Prima, The Sun reports. “Unfortunately she’s in really bad shape, so please everyone pray. I was there first, I gave everyone money, I threatened them to do their best…”
Elischerova has over 387,000 followers on Instagram, and she gave them a glimpse into her life, including her passion for fighting, her travels, and her style. She was an impressive fighter and also appeared on television on the combat sports show “Clash of the Stars.” After Mina’s tragic passing, the show made a statement in her honor.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce that Dominika has sadly lost her final battle in the hospital…” the translated message, which was posted on Instagram on March 17, reads. “We are extremely sorry for this. This is ripping for our hearts. Our wrestler, presenter, friend and above all part of our family has passed away.”
The statement continues, “We hope you’re looking down on us and continue to watch over us. Your laugh, positive energy and fight will never be forgotten. You were and always will be great. We’re thinking of you. You always remain in our heart. My condolences to the whole family.”

Elischerova’s most recent post was shared on Instagram on March 12. It shows her fighting in the ring. Fans have used this post to share their heartfelt thoughts and condolences. “I didn’t know her personally, but I’m crying … From the beginning, she had all obstacles and fought in life. I am so, so sorry. My condolences to all loved ones,” a translated message reads.
“May the earth be light on you, our warrior,” a second person wrote.
