Kylie Kelce opens up about the real reason her husband, Jason, bawled his eyes out at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding. She admitted that her husband may have been more emotional than the groom watching his bride walk down the aisle.
Furthermore, Jason also commented that he may have been more emotional at his brother’s wedding than he was at his wedding in 2018. The comment quickly gained momentum as some fans tried to make comparisons. In response, Kylie noted that there were several special moments during the ceremony that made her husband emotional.
Kylie and Jason’s Daughters Had Special Roles in the Ceremony
During an episode of her podcast “Not Gonna Lie,” Kylie spoke about her husband’s emotional state at the celebrity wedding. She further explained that while many aspects of the ceremony were breathtaking, one part stuck out to her husband.
Kylie admitted that Jason was not the only family member who cried. She said the wedding was emotional for several adults, including herself. Her comments showed that the tears were connected to more than the size or celebrity status of the event.
“Take this into consideration, cause no one’s thinking about this; think about getting to watch your four daughters be flower girls,” Kylie said.
She also added that the event was very emotional for everyone and that she is happy for Travis and Swift as they begin their new journey as husband and wife. “Okay, that’s all the information you get,” she concluded.
Kylie Says Taylor Had Already Become Part of the Kelce Family
Furthermore, during the podcast, Kylie noted that Swift was already a part of the family, and that the wedding only made it official. According to her, the singer was already being treated like family before she walked down the aisle.
Kylie then described the wedding as an intimate one that was filled with love and joy. She went on to say that she could tell how much the guests at the wedding loved and adored Travis and Swift.
However, Kylie refused to share any extra details regarding the event that the newlyweds had not released. She determined that it would be best left to Travis and Swift to share or not.
Jason also followed a similar approach. He recently shared how amazed he was at how tight-lipped the newlyweds’ loyalists have been, regarding the wedding weekend. He found it remarkable that so few actual private details have leaked, despite the size of the MSG celebration.
“I haven’t seen any legitimate photos really from the wedding,” he said. “Like it’s remarkable. That was 1,000 people inside Madison Square Garden. The biggest wedding in probably, I’ve ever anticipated for sure. Amd there’s really not a lot out there. This was obviously an effort by Taylor and Travis to really make this as intimate of a moment as possible.”
Kylie Insisted Jason Cried Plenty at Their Own Wedding
As Jason had anticipated, Kylie had something to say about his crying comments.
“Don’t worry, my husband cried plenty at his own wedding, regardless of what his comments were recently,” she said. “Guys, think about this. First of all, there was a moment in time where i said if he didn’t tear up when I started walking down the aisle, I would go back and start again.” She humorously added that someone might have even punched him in the nose to ensure he cried during her second walk.
Kylie also encouraged fans to ‘consider the context’ of her husband’s comments. She insisted that his emotions during their wedding were never in question. According to her, Jason openly feels his emotions and had cried during several important moments over the years.
Reasons and context aside, however, Kylie admitted that she has teased Jason about comparing both ceremonies. She jokingly shared her resolve to ensure he does not live it down, saying she has “given him s*** about it, and yes, I will continue to.” In her words, she will do so “Cause that is my right as his wife.”
