Kylie Kelce is speaking out about her husband Jason Kelce’s comment that he cried more at Taylor and Travis’s July 3 nuptials at Madison Square Garden than he did at his own wedding.
Kylie Kelce Sets the Record Straight on Jason’s Tears
Jason said that he “probably cried more at this wedding than I cried at my own wedding, which is probably not acceptable.” He also joked to Philadelphia radio station 94WIP that Kylie was likely “not happy” about it.
She responded to his comments on a recent episode of her “Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce.”
“Don’t worry, my husband cried plenty at his own wedding,” she said.
“Guys, think about this. First of all, there was a moment in time where I said if he didn’t tear up when I started walking down the aisle, I would go back and start again, knowing that someone would have obviously punched him in the nose between me restarting,” she continued. “And he would have been crying when I walked down the aisle.”
She also encouraged listeners to “consider the context” of what he said.
“Obviously my husband cried during our wedding. He did,” Kelce added. “I think that goes without being said because he’s cried a couple other places because he feels his emotions, OK.”
Their Daughters Had a Special Role in the Wedding
GettyShe also revealed a new detail about the wedding itself: their daughters Wyatt, 6; Elliotte, 5; Bennett, 3; and Finnley, 1, were flower girls for Taylor.
Kylie says that it was “touching” and “very loving” to see everything happening throughout the ceremony. She insisted that watching his daughters be flower girls for Taylor was a huge reason for his tears during his brother’s wedding. She also says he wasn’t the only adult shedding tears during the ceremony.
Jason Kelce Reveals More Details From the Ceremony
Her husband, Jason Kelce, also revealed how surprised he is that no wedding photos have been leaked yet. He said during the 94WIP interview that it was the largest wedding he’d ever attended and that the Madison Square Garden event boasted more A-listers than any other in history.
“I think this is obviously an effort by Travis and Taylor to really try and make this as intimate a moment as possible,” he said about the lack of official wedding photos.
He said that the amount of interest the couple receives from the public has led them to be private, although their guest list reached 1,000 attendees, which is part of the reason he is so surprised nothing has been released.
Jason said the couple invited everyone from childhood friends to A-listers like Brad Pitt and Selena Gomez.
“My favorite moments were just like the different people that are at this wedding, right?” Jason said. “In one moment, I’m seeing Brad Pitt pop out of a corner and talking to him, and then in the next moment, I’m seeing Mrs. Clark, who ran the attendance office at Cleveland Heights High School.”
He also revealed that the couple sang a duet to each other and praised surprise pick Adam Sandler for officiating the wedding ceremony.
