Nancy Guthrie Abduction: New Theory Points to Potential ‘Getaway Driver’ – Report

Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that Nancy Guthrie was abducted by multiple individuals, and a new theory now points to the potential involvement of a getaway driver.

Bob Krygier, a former Pima County, Arizona, Sheriff’s lieutenant, told NewsNation that his gut tells him that a car may have been waiting outside while the accomplice abducted Nancy from her home.

“A car of some sort was involved with the lack of care that the suspect we see walking up to the front door has,” he told the outlet. “Once they were able to get their hands on Nancy and get her out, it would be a lot easier to have someone waiting for you. So the cop part of me says, ‘Yeah, there probably was a car out front just waiting.'”

Still Image Raises Questions About Potential Second Suspect in Nancy Guthrie Abduction

Joseph Giacalone, a retired NYPD sergeant and criminal justice professor at Penn State-Lehigh Valley, shared an almost similar theory.

“My theory was that they had to have a vehicle around the corner to pick them up,” he told Fox News Digital. “That’s why she’s bleeding at the front door. They couldn’t park the vehicle right out front, or it could spook a nosy neighbor.”

Surveillance footage from Nancy Guthrie’s Nest doorbell camera shows a masked man wearing gloves and carrying a backpack and gun holster tampering with the device.

The FBI also released a still image showing a man wearing similar clothes as the one seen in the video. However, in the photo, the individual does not appear to be carrying a backpack or a gun holster, sparking speculation of a second suspect.

Authorities Not Ruling Out Multiple Suspects

Randy Sutton, a retired Las Vegas police lieutenant and the founder of The Wounded Blue, told Fox News Digital that the man in the video was accompanied by somebody.

He also pointed out that it would be easier to force or carry the victim out of the home if two people were involved.

“I think that the individual at the front of the house was accompanied by somebody who made entry at the rear of the house, and there was probably a driver involved,” he added. “It would be very unwieldy to have just one person.”

On Friday, a spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department told Fox News Digital that they are not ruling out the possibility of multiple suspects.

“The sheriff has said all along that while investigators are working to identify the person seen on doorbell video, they are not ruling out that that was the only person involved,” the source said.
