The search for Nancy Guthrie has now reached its 110th day, with the latest update indicating that her home is currently blocked off.
On May 18, X account @GermanDaphne shared footage taken from Nancy’s neighborhood, showing her driveway roped off with a “No Trespassing” sign.
The latest security measure comes after warning signs were installed outside of Nancy’s home in late February.
Nancy Guthrie Update: Family Takes Precautions as Search Continues
In April, Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tomasso Cioni, tightened their security amid the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie.
At the time, self-proclaimed investigative reporter @JLRINVESTIGATES shared a photo of a “no trespassing” sign erected on Annie and Tomasso’s front lawn.
The sign states that “violators will be prosecuted in accordance with A.R.S. 13-1502-A1.”
Previously, there has been an increase in police patrols around Nancy’s neighborhood following harassment complaints from residents.
KVOA reported that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department received multiple complaints, including one from Annie. In response, PCSD deployed additional patrols in the area.
Security Measures in Nancy Guthrie’s Property Draw Mixed Reactions
Meanwhile, many took to social media to share their thoughts about the new security measures at Nancy Guthrie’s house.
Someone wrote, “They should have done that before they released the crime scene. It seems pointless since nobody has been going on the property.”
Another commented, “I feel like they should’ve had the driveway closed off from day 1.”
A commenter chimed in, “I’d build a tall privacy wall with controlled gates at both driveways. No expense spared.”
JonBenét Ramsey’s Father Offers Advice to Nancy Guthrie’s Family
In other Nancy Guthrie news, JonBenét Ramsey‘s father, John Ramsey, has offered advice to Savannah Guthrie and her family amid the ongoing Nancy Guthrie investigation.
On the latest episode of “Brian Entin Investigates,” Ramsey told NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin that the family should scrutinize the police.
“Don’t assume the police are doing everything they can do,” Ramsey pointed out. “They may be, but don’t assume that. Really scrutinize what they’re doing, ask questions.”
He continued, “DNA—what’s the status of the DNA? Do you have DNA that doesn’t match anybody in the family? What are you doing with it? Just putting in CODIS—that’s obsolete. That’s not going to result. That worked 30 years ago, that’s all we had. But now you can employ IGG [investigative genetic genealogy], and create a family tree, and with pretty good probability, get a name on the killer.”
To this day, no one has been charged or prosecuted for JonBenét’s murder.
Nancy Guthrie was first reported missing from her home in the early morning hours of February 1. No suspect has been identified so far.
