Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) made many “Off Campus” fans swoon in season 1. The next season will focus on his story with Allie (Mika Abdalla), who only wanted a physical connection with the hockey player after her breakup.
Elle Kennedy’s “The Score” is the source of the storyline, and Summer Di Laurentis plays a part in it. The Amazon Prime series found the actress who will play the heartthrob’s little sister.
Who Is the New ‘Off Campus’ Actor Shay Rudolph?
GettyThe series’ Instagram account posted a video of Kalyn wearing a sweater, black shirt, and grey pants with the word “copy.” The video cuts to Shay Rudolph wearing the same outfit with the word “paste.” The Aug. 13 post is captioned, “Double it and give it to Season 2. Everyone say hi to Shay Rudolph as our Summer DiLaurentis.”
Rudolph, 20, commented, “can’t stop screaming [I’m] SO EXCITEDDD” under the announcement. The actress isn’t a stranger to college romance shows or book adaptations.
She was in a season 3 episode of “The Sex Lives of College Girls.” Her longest-running role was Stacey McGill in “The Baby-Sitter’s Club.”
The actress also played the eldest daughter in “The Present” with Isla Fisher and Greg Kinnear. The parents announce to their kids that they’re separating, and they turn back time to avoid it with their grandfather clock.
Rudolph also hosts “The Smart Girl Podcast” with Jess Weiner through the American Girl network. They talk with experts for advice on how to grow up healthy and happy.
India Fowler Was Cast To Play Grace Iver
Each book in the “Off Campus” series focuses on a different couple involving a Briar University ice hockey player. The first season showed players Dean, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), John Logan (Antonio Cipriano), and John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks) living together in a house.
Although season 2’s main couple changes, we continue Garrett and Hannah’s (Ella Bright) story. “It does feel like a happily ever after, but we’re not ready to ride them off into the sunset,” producer Louisa Levy told TV Guide. “We want to keep them around in season 2 and tell more story with them and just get to live in a world where they’re together, because we only got them together very briefly.”
Season 1 also showed John’s hopeless crush on Hannah. The character’s book is “The Mistake,” and it’s the second one in the series. Cipriano, 26, made it clear that John’s story will move forward even if it’s not the main one when the show returns.
“Obviously, we have a Grace now, and that’s very exciting,” he told People. “So there’s going to be a little bit of that [in season 2], and we’ll just see how it all plays out.”
India Fowler is playing Grace Iver. The show’s Instagram account shared a video of Cipriano telling Fowler, 22, that she got the role in April.
The filming of season 2 began in June. A release date hasn’t been revealed.
