Hollywood stars are mourning one of fashion’s biggest legends. Joining the bandwagon is Salma Hayek, who is mourning the loss of Giorgio Armani, remembering the late Italian designer as both a mentor and a friend.
Armani, who revolutionized modern fashion with his timeless elegance, died in Milan on September 4 at the age of 91.

Remembering His Kindness & Elegance
“I had the privilege to be taken under his wing and experience firsthand his kindness, generosity, elegance, and his ability to elevate anyone who crossed his path,” Hayek shared.
The actress revealed that Armani created her very first Oscars gown and also gifted her the unforgettable joy of attending her first fashion show in Milan. “Arrivederci, Giorgio, the power of your spirit and artistry will linger forever. @luismiguel,” Hayek concluded.
Armani’s Death & Final Days

The designer had battled health issues in recent years, including hospitalizations for bronchitis and lung infections, but continued to oversee his collections until his final months.
He died peacefully in Milan, just weeks after his 91st birthday, surrounded by loved ones and his longtime partner and collaborator, Leo Dell’Orco.
Family’s Statement & Farewell
Armani’s relatives and colleagues released a joint statement honoring his memory: “Today, with deep emotion, we feel the void left by the one who founded and nurtured this family with vision, passion, and dedication. But it is precisely in his spirit that we commit to protecting what he built and to carrying his company forward in his memory, with respect, responsibility and love.”
A public funeral chamber will open in Milan for fans to pay their respects, followed by a private ceremony for close friends and family.

Apart from Hayek, Demi Moore also paid tribute to the fashion legend. In her tribute, Moore mentioned how Armani was more than just a designer; he was a creative partner who helped craft some of her most memorable red carpet moments. Her tribute highlighted not only her admiration for his craft but also the personal connection they shared in creating looks that celebrated both elegance and individuality.
