Like most awards shows, the 32nd Actor Awards, which took place tonight on March 1, 2026, had plenty of memorable moments. From red carpet showstoppers to emotional speeches, the night was a true celebration of Hollywood’s most talented stars.
In one iconic moment, the award show shone a light at one of TV’s most beloved sitcoms, “The Office.” To announce the winner for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, the four main actresses of the long-running series, Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Ellie Kemper and Angela Kinsey, took the stage.

After being met with plenty of applause from the audience, the four former co-stars reminisced on their time together in “The Office,” calling themselves “women who survived 22-episode seasons.”
Kemper then explained, saying that their seasons were so long, “you didn’t plan a season around a pregnancy.”
“You just gave birth on camera and named the baby after a grip,” Kaling chimed in. “Then you came back the next week with another episode,” added Kinsey.
“It was relentless,” Kemper said, with Kinsey keeping it positive by saying that they had a job guaranteed from September to May. The comment, of course, was met with applause from the room full of actors.
As they explained, by doing such long seasons, episodes covered a whole year with Christmas episodes, Valentine’s Day episodes and even SuperBowl. Plus, some “filler” ones in between, Kaling added.

“Should I do a podcast about writing?” Kaling then asked, to which Kemper responded, “Oh, Mindy, no one cares about writers.”
The foursome then ended with a tribute to comedy actors nominated for the category.
“Whether it’s six episodes, or 22, comedy is hard in any number,” Kemper said. “Which is why we are genuinely in awe of anyone who can make people laugh consistently,” Kaling completed.
Kinsey, Fischer, Kaling and Kemper then handed off the coveted award to the Apple TV series “The Studio.” Seth Rogen, who plays cutthroat Hollywood executive Matt Remick in the series, accepted the award on behalf of his cast.
Also nominated in the category were “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” “Hacks” and “Only Murders in the Building.”
