A former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum recently surprised fans on Instagram with some exciting news. Her family just grew by one adorable addition! And no, it’s not a baby, but a lovable new furry friend.
Jacqueline Laurita, who starred on RHONJ from seasons 1-7, recently shared that her family welcomed a puppy named Ocean. Sharing several photos of the new pup on Instagram, Laurita’s fans and a few Housewives commented on the cutest family addition.

Former RHONJ star Jacqueline Laurita recently shared that her family welcomed a new furry friend into their home. On Oct. 4, the reality TV star posted several adorable snaps of their new puppy, a girl named Ocean.
“Meet our new baby girl, Ocean! She is a Blue Merle Fluffy Frenchie. Born July 4th! Her and Diesel get along beautifully. She’s a sweet addition to our family,” she captioned her sweet images.
According to Frenchie Box, Laurita may have paid a pretty penny for her beloved pet. While French Bulldogs are already known to be quite expensive, a colored one like her blue Merle has an average price tag of $5,000 to over $10,000.
A few “Real Housewives” commented on Laurita’s puppy post. RHOC’s Tamra Judge wrote, “Adorable,” while former RHOC star Peggy Tanous commented, “Sooooo cute,” along with a heart emoji.
Fans also commented with, “Love the name!!! Welcome to the family Ocean!!!” And “Omg she is so cute ! I’ve never seen a Frenchie like her.”
Meanwhile, Laurita’s comment section also saw fans wishing she would “adopt and not shop.”
The Laurita household is already familiar with owning a French Bulldog, with the former Housewife regularly sharing snaps of their dog, Diesel.

She was a main cast member for the first five seasons, before appearing as a “friend of the cast” for season 6. However, she would return as a main star for season 7, her final season with the iconic Jersey women.
In a 2017 statement to Entertainment Tonight, Laurita admitted that she decided to leave the show because the network wanted to demote her. Additionally, she had strained friendships with the cast, primarily with Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga.
“I think the feeling [from the network] is that I no longer have an authentic connection with two of the season’s cast members,” she shared.
Laurita also revealed that she was given a “part-time position” for season 8, and that did not sit right with her.
“I just felt that after being on the show for seven years and putting my time and everything into that, to not have a confirmed full-time decision, with that feeling that I had to kind of tryout again, it just didn’t feel right,” she expressed.
Although Laurita is no longer on TV, she frequently shares updates about her life and family on social media.
