Fashion designer and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Rachel Zoe was married to her husband, Rodger Berman, for 26 years before the pair announced their unexpected split in September 2024. But who is Berman, the man who held Zoe’s heart for so many years? These are five fast facts to know.
1. Rodger Berman & Rachel Zoe Worked Closely
Zoe has had many incredible business ventures, and Berman has worked right alongside her. He managed her career and acted as the president of her fashion business, Us Weekly reports. They also co-hosted the podcast “Works for Us.”
“I always say, behind many successful women there is a really, really good man rooting for them,” Zoe said in 2021, Us Weekly reports. “Rodger has always, always, always rooted for me.”
2. They Met In the ‘90s
“I met Rachel [Zoe] in the summer of 1991. She was 19, and I was 22,” Berman told Harper’s Bazaar in 2011, HuffPost reports. “She was a restaurant hostess, and I was working as a waiter in Washington, D.C., where we both attended college.”
He also praised her fashion choices and how they made an initial impact on him. “I vividly remember the first time I saw her — wearing a tight black mini dress, high-heeled pumps, stick-straight hair and big red lips covered in MAC Chili lipstick (her trademark),” he wrote. “She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I quickly learned that she also had more clothes than any woman I had ever seen. I often wondered if she’d ever do an outfit change mid-date.”
3. He Is a Father
There was a time when Zoe and Berman had a blissful marriage, but now their focus will be on co-parenting their two sons, Skyler and Kaius. Zoe has previously said that their priorities shifted when they had children.
“I started to feel like this may not be the most advantageous situation for our children,” she told People in November 2025. “For me for the last 14 years, literally every breath I take is for my kids. So every decision I make, every lens that I look through is through a lens of my children, of what are they going to think? What are they going to say? How will this affect them? I have never felt that people should live together and stay together, unhappy.”
4. Rodger Berman Has a New Girlfriend
According to a February 2026 article by Swoon, Berman is dating men’s stylist Bree Jacoby. The couple has been dating since the start of 2025, which Zoe discussed in an episode of RHOBH. “Rodger has had the same girl for a year,” she said, Swoon reports. They are believed to have gotten together right after Zoe’s separation, although she did not confirm this.
In a November 2025 interview with People, Zoe admitted that she is also dating again. “It’s incredibly fun,” she said. “To be honest, that wasn’t hard for me to get into. It really wasn’t. I think this era for me is just freedom.
5. He Was Supportive of Rachel Zoe’s Fashion Career
Berman was supportive of Zoe’s career, and she admitted this in an episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” “He was like, ‘Go. Do. Be,'” she said of Berman, People reports. “He was so secure. Everyone would ask him, ‘How do you let her do that? She’s going and styling all these huge male celebrities, these big male supermodels, these guys are hitting on her all the time.’ He was always like, ‘If they can get her, they can have her.’ It worked because I never cheated on him.”
