Andy Cohen revealed the big casting news for “The Real Housewives of New York City” was in the works for “a while,” but that one cast member was only recently signed.
Speaking on his SiriusXM radio show, “Andy Cohen Live,” the Bravo TV host and executive producer said, “I’m so excited about the cast of ‘The Real Housewives of New York.’”
“We have been working on this for a while,” Cohen added of the show, which has been on a filming hiatus since 2024. “You know, it’s like, we want to get it right. We almost did something with New York last year, and then we had a group convo, and we were like, ‘You know what? We are not all there yet.’ And there were some people that are in the cast now that are still in the cast, new people, but then we found new new people.”
“We have three new people,” Cohen continued. “Erika [Hammond], Daisy [Toye], and Hailey [Glassman], and they are great.”
Cohen also noted that with the addition of Toye, who is Martha Stewart’s longtime makeup artist, he’s hoping to get a cameo from the lifestyle queen herself.
“Daisy’s been Martha Stewart’s makeup artist for many years, and Martha loves her,” he said. “And so I’m hoping we see a little Martha, and I’m really excited.”
Returning RHONY cast members Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Sąi de Silva will be joined by newcomers Hammond, Toye, and Glassman. RHONY veteran Carole Radziwill will also make a return as a “friend of” the Housewives.
Andy Cohen Addressed Carole Radziwill’s Return to RHONY
Radziwill’s return to RHONY was reported by Variety ahead of Bravo’s official cast announcement. The author and journalist appeared on RHONY Seasons 5 through 10 and is friendly with Lichy.
On his radio program, Cohen admitted there were “a lot of people doing discourse about Radzi coming back. “
“She’s coming back as a friend,” he reiterated. “And it’s so funny because I remember we were at BravoCon [in November 2025] and Jeff Lewis is like, ‘Radzi’s definitely coming back. You wouldn’t be doing this.’ She’s here, and it was not the plan at that point. It really wasn’t. I think I took her out for coffee in, you know, was it in December or January, and proposed that she be a friend. She’s like, she was very Radzi about it. She was very analytical. You know, she’s gotten to be pals with Erin and Abe, so she, like they actually are legitimate friends, and she was, she had all kinds of questions about what does that mean and all this, and she thought about it and after that coffee.”
“I honestly thought it was a 50/50 chance that she was gonna do it,” the Bravo producer dished. “I didn’t… I go, ‘Do your research, research everything,’ so I didn’t know, and I was so glad that she did.”
Jenna Lyons Dropped Hints About the New Cast
There had long been rumors about Toye and Glassman joining the RHONY cast. In August, Page Six teased that Toye was in the running for a spot on the Bravo hit, and The Sun shared photos of Glassman seemingly en route to sign her a contract with Bravo.
Departing cast member Jenna Lyons also told Sirius XM’s Today Radio Show’s “The Happy Hour,” that the three new cast members were “much younger” than her. Hammond is only 34, while Lyons is 57.
“I’m in a different stage in my life,” the former RHONY star explained. “They’re all trying to hustle. And I actually am not in that place in my life.
