Bravo’s “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th” premiered recently, featuring a much-talked-about clash between Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador at The Quiet Woman. Now, following the episode’s airing, “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson is defending Beador.
Gunvalson took to the August 12 episode of “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast” not only to recap the first episode of RHUGT but also to defend Beador. Discussed the clash, noting that she wasn’t around when things went south between her RHOC co-stars.
Vicki Gunvalson Was ‘Mortified’ by What Tamra Judge Said To Shannon Beador
GettyAccording to Gunvalson, “I didn’t hear any of that because I was on the other side of the bar with Heather until it aired last night.” Regarding her reaction, the RHOC star stated that she was “mortified.”
She continued, “That Tamra said to Shannon, ‘I have a good life, a perfect life, I’m married, my kids are in college.’ Well, hang on- Shannon got divorced, so sad, so bad. I mean, she was cheated on; what is she going to do? She had to get divorced.”
After that, Gunvalson also defended Beador’s children, highlighting that one of her daughters, Sophie, is in her late 20s and has a full-time job in New York City. She then added that Beador’s other kids are in college.
Gunvalson added, “She just went so low.” From there, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star expressed disappointment that Gizelle Bryant seemed to be trying to start drama between her and Judge.
In defense of what she said to Bryant on the premiere episode about how she fears Judge in some ways, she said, “I do love Tamra, and I care for Tamra, but I don’t like how she treats people.” She then said, “And I said it to Tamra, ‘Why do you have to go so ugly and so deep and so hurtful?'”
Gunvalson went on to say that Beador was justified in walking away from the encounter with Judge at The Quiet Woman. In giving Judge advice, she stated that her RHOC costar should “let it go” rather than harbor anger toward Beador.
She Recently Spoke About Her ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Return
Season 20 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” marks the return of Gunvalson after a several-season-long absence. Notably, Andy Cohen invited her back to the show while on stage at BravoCon 2025. While attending the show’s premiere event at The Commons at NBCUniversal Studios, she spoke about her reality TV comeback, noting that her daughter urged her not to do the show.
Per PEOPLE, she said while on a panel, “Briana said, ‘No, Mom. The show has never been good for you. You’ve always lost relationships.'” Gunvalson then explained that her daughter’s concerns were about her romantic relationship.
She shared, “She really enjoyed me with Michael, and we were just starting a new relationship, a couple years old, and she’s like, ‘Why do you want to do this? Don’t put him on.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, I won’t put him on.’ She’s very protective over me.”
However, despite this, Michael did film for the current season of “Orange County.”
