Reality TV Star Shares Emotional Hospital Update as He Learns to ‘Walk Again’ Amid Meningitis Battle

Jordan Brook is opening up about his difficult recovery as he continues treatment for a serious illness. The 31-year-old reality TV star revealed he is now learning to walk again after being hospitalized earlier this month. The “The Only Way Is Essex” star shared that he is undergoing further tests, including a brain scan, as doctors monitor his condition.

Star Takes First Steps After Saying He Was ‘Too Weak to Walk’

Just days after admitting he was “too weak to walk,” Jordan shared a powerful moment that marked a turning point in his recovery.

In a video posted to social media, he is seen slowly rising from a wheelchair and taking careful steps around the hospital grounds, supported by his father, whom he calls his “rock.”

The clip also captures him shaving for the first time since being hospitalized, a small but deeply meaningful step as he begins to regain a sense of normalcy.

Alongside the video, Jordan wrote, “Baby steps – Friday Motivation, emotional is an understatement. I’m so glad to say I have reached a Turing point in this nightmare. The first time I’ve felt positive.”

He added, “Some rehab on my legs and learning to walk again. To anyone who is going through anything similar, please keep going. You are so strong.”

Jordan continued, “I’ve had times I never thought I would reach here. Dark times when a simple step seemed impossible. Stay strong and keep going.”

He went on to thank those who supported him, writing, “Thank you to every single kind person for your support through this. Humans really need to stick together, have compassion, and be kind.”

Jordan also paid tribute to his family, sharing, “Thank you to my family, my rock, my dad, for getting me on my feet today.”

He then acknowledged hospital staff, writing, “Thank you to every single staff member in my hospital ward; you are a credit to humanity.”

He concluded on a hopeful note, adding, “Spreading love and positivity. JB is not beat yet, let’s get this. Have a blessed Friday, everyone.”

Girfriend Sophie Kasaei Stands by Him During Recovery Journey

Jordan has been supported throughout by his pregnant girlfriend, Sophie Kasaei, with whom he is expecting a baby boy.

In an emotional moment, Sophie kissed him on the cheek and said, “I’m so proud.”

In an earlier update, Jordan shared a photo from outside the hospital, where he used a wheelchair during a short outing, writing,

“Lord, give me strength. Get me home to my boy. 5 mins of fresh air off the ward this morning with my everything. Still not got the strength to walk, and am super weak all over my entire body.”

He also expressed gratitude for Sophie’s constant support, adding, “Thank you for holding me up all the way through this. Still a long way to go in this battle, but we are getting there”.

Diagnosis Revealed as Meningitis and Encephalitis

Jordan was initially admitted to the hospital with a mystery illness before doctors confirmed a serious diagnosis.

In an earlier update, he said, “This is the first time I’ve really been able to speak strongly enough about what’s going on. I’ve been diagnosed with not one but two joining viruses that are attacking a similar part of my body. I have got viral meningitis and encephalitis together. That’s the inflammation of the brain and the lining around it. So this isn’t something small or minor.”

He added that he remains under close medical care, explaining, “I’m on IV drips, everything antiviral, pain management, physio, seizure monitoring, to minimise seizure risk at the minute. But unfortunately, the swelling on my brain is getting worse. Really, really tough, even with the simple day-to-day activities and normal things that aren’t easy right now. So this is what I’m dealing with day-to-day.”

Despite the challenges, Jordan’s recent updates point to steady progress and a growing sense of determination. The health scare comes at a deeply personal time for the couple, who had spent two years trying to conceive before learning they were expecting their first child.

Now focused on rebuilding his strength, Jordan continues to share his journey with fans, offering a candid look at recovery while holding on to hope for the days ahead.
