Reality TV star Jordan Brook has shared a worrying health update from his hospital bed, revealing that he is now experiencing seizures on a regular basis as he continues treatment. The former “The Only Way Is Essex” star posted the update on Instagram Stories, marking day 13 of his hospital stay. Alongside a photo from his bed, Brook opened up about the latest complications in his recovery.
Jordan Brook Shares Day 13 Update as ‘Regular Seizures’ Lead to New Medication

He went on to explain that doctors have adjusted his treatment to help manage the condition.
“Anti-seizure meds added. Road home is feeling long, but I will get there. The fight goes on. One day at a time.”
Brook is also known to some viewers from his brief appearance on “The Voice UK.” He auditioned for the singing competition in 2022, performing Lonestar’s “Amazed” during the blind auditions.
While none of the coaches turned their chairs at the time, Brook continued to pursue music outside the show, often performing at friends’ weddings and private events.
Alongside his music interests, he works as a barber and has appeared on reality TV through his relationship with Sophie Kasaei.
Diagnosis of Meningitis and Encephalitis Sparks Intense Health Battle
Brook, 31, first shared news of his hospitalization earlier in the week, revealing that he had been diagnosed with two serious viral infections impacting his brain.
In a video posted to his followers, he spoke candidly about his condition, addressing speculation and explaining just how difficult the situation is.
“This is the first time I’ve really been able to speak strong enough about what’s going on.”
“I’ve been diagnosed with not one but two joining viruses that are attacking a similar part of my body. I have got viral meningitis and encephalitis together. That’s the inflammation of the brain and the lining around it.”
Brook made it clear that what he is facing is far from minor, emphasizing the gravity of the diagnosis.
“So this isn’t something small or minor.”
Intensive Treatment and Ongoing Symptoms
GettySince being admitted, Brook has undergone extensive testing and continuous monitoring while receiving hospital care.
He detailed the scope of his treatment, which includes scans, procedures, and round-the-clock support from medical staff.
“I had CT scans, MRI, lumbar scans, and lumbar punctures. With round-the-clock care since I’ve been in this hospital. I’m on IV drips, everything antiviral, pain management, physio, seizure monitoring, to minor seizure risk at the minute.”
Despite the care, Brook admitted that his symptoms have worsened in some areas, particularly due to swelling in his brain.
“But unfortunately, the swelling on my brain is getting worse. Really, really tough, even with the simple day-to-day activities and normal things that aren’t easy right now. So this is what I’m dealing with day-to-day.”
Star Urges Fans to Be Mindful as He Focuses on Recovery
As updates about his condition spread online, Brook also asked fans to be cautious about misinformation and speculation surrounding his health.
As per Independent, he said: “I’m on day 11 of treatment, and I’d like to reach out to everyone and say just be careful what you read online and be conscious of some things that people are writing.”
“Commenting this isn’t like a joke or people are writing that I’m a lot worse than I am and there’s big C-words being dropped and things like that it isn’t that but there’s swelling on my brain it’s really bad it’s up to my meds my steroids to try and get the swelling down I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be [in hospital].”
Brook, who is expecting his first child with partner Sophie Kasaei, continues to share updates as he focuses on recovery. His latest message reflects both the challenges he is facing and his determination to keep moving forward, one day at a time.
Girfriend Sophie Kasaei Says ‘Life Can Change in the Blink of an Eye’ as She Supports Jordan Brook
Brook’s girlfriend, Sophie Kasaei, has also shared an emotional response, standing by his side during his hospital stay.
The pregnant reality star opened up in a heartfelt Instagram post, reflecting on how quickly life has shifted as Brook continues treatment for viral meningitis and encephalitis.
“Life can come at you really fast. Literally in the blink of an eye. One minute you’re dreaming about your future together… and the next, you’re sitting in a hospital room, holding on to hope with everything you have. Watching the person I love in pain and fear, something I can’t fight for them is the hardest thing I’ve ever known. And through all this I’m carrying the tiniest piece of us a reminder that even in the darkest moments, life is still growing, still holding on. I never imagined I’d feel this much fear and this much love all at once. Life really can change in the blink of an eye. Please don’t take a single moment, a single person, for granted. Everyday I fall in love with you more and more @jordanbrook11 this whole thing feels like I’m living in a nightmare waiting to be woke up by you next to me in bed but I’m just grateful your here and fighting for your family.
‘Our little baby boy is what is keeping this family going. I love you @jordanbrook11’.”
Her message captures both the fear and the deep love surrounding the moment, as she continues to support Brook while awaiting their baby’s arrival.
