Sean Carrigan, best known for his role on “The Young and the Restless,” is officially a father. The 51-year-old actor and his fiancée, Jazmin Tempske, welcomed their daughter, Susan Maxine Carrigan, on Monday, Aug. 25.
A representative for the couple confirmed the happy news in a statement, telling People, “Both mom and baby are happy and healthy, and the family is soaking in every special moment.”
This marks the first child for Carrigan, who has balanced careers as an actor, comedian, and former professional boxer.
The Couple’s Journey to Parenthood
Carrigan and Tempske first revealed they were expecting in June with a playful Instagram post. The actor shared boxer-themed photos, including one where he held up a pair of mini pink boxing gloves to announce they were having a girl. He captioned the post: “Knocked Up – Susan Maxine Carrigan… August 2025.”
The couple later celebrated their upcoming arrival with a baby shower, where Carrigan posted photos alongside Tempske, who wore a pink dress while cradling her baby bump. The soap star, dressed in jeans and a black shirt, stood beside her making a peace sign. He captioned the photo simply with “#305.”
Several of Carrigan’s co-stars from “The Young and the Restless” congratulated the couple after their announcement. Actor Redaric Williams commented, “Major congrats brother, lucky little one on the way, you’re definitely gonna be an awesome dad!!” Actress Tamara Clatterbuck added, “Congrats to you both!!!!”
Fans quickly filled the comments with excitement, with one writing, “You’re going to be an amazing dad!!! Congrats to you two,” while another added, “Congratulations. I am so happy for you.”

From Boxing Ring to Soap Star
Before stepping into daytime television, Carrigan pursued a career in professional boxing and later shifted into stand-up comedy and acting. He joined “The Young and the Restless” in 2013 as Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn, a role originally meant for a short arc that evolved into a long-term contract.
According to SoapCentral, Carrigan has also appeared in “Modern Family,” “Hart of Dixie,” “The Closer,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.” He also starred in the Lifetime television movie “Call Me Crazy,” acting opposite Jennifer Hudson and under the direction of Ashley Judd.
