Shemar Moore is back filming “The Young and the Restless,” reprising his role as Malcolm. It was revealed that Moore and Vivica A. Fox (Stephanie) have both returned to the CBS soap for a brief arc this spring.
After the exciting news broke, some of Moore’s “The Young and the Restless” co-stars shared a first look at him back on set.
Christel Khalil, Sean Dominic, and Bryton James Tease Shemar Moore Reunion
A Winters and Hastings family reunion has taken place on the set of the CBS soap. Christel Khalil (Lily) used Instagram to reveal that the gang was back together, posting a photo of her, Moore, Sean Dominic (Nate), and Bryton James (Devon).
“Day 1 with Daddy O done!” the actress wrote as her caption.
Khalil’s caption referred to the fact that Malcolm is actually her alter ego, Lily’s biological father. Lily grew up believing that Neil (Kristof St. John) was her father. However, it later turned out that Malcolm was her father, not Neil, after it was revealed that Malcolm had slept with Dru (Victoria Rowell).
Dominic shared the same photo from Moore’s first day back on “The Young and the Restless” set with his caption saying, “OG back on set with the family. @youngandrestlesscbs.”
James didn’t miss a beat sharing the moment either, but he didn’t use a caption. Instead, he let the highly anticipated reunion speak for itself.

Stars of the CBS soap filled up the comments section of the social media messages to gush over seeing Moore back in the mix.
Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) left red heart emojis on the social media messages, while Lauralee Bell (Christine) wrote, “Love it! 😍❤️” and “So great ❤️.”
“Beyond the Gates” star Sean Freeman (Andre) got in on the action, saying, “Let’s GOOOO!!!!” while his co-star Karla Mosley (Dani) also left a red heart emoji.
Fans popped in to the comments to react to the reunion, too. “I love Shemar doesn’t mind returning to his soap roots here and there,” shared a fan.
Another fan added, “LOVE this beautiful talented family !!!!!! Can’t wait to watch!!!💕” Makes me feel nostalgic for the days of Neil/Drew/Malcolm/Olivia cool to see their kids and now their grandkids. I love that Shemar is so proud of his Y&R start.”
The wait to see Moore on-screen won’t be much longer. Since “The Young and the Restless” films about six weeks in advance, Malcom should appear in Genoa City in early April.
