‘Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner Buys New Home With Fiancée After Divorce

The former “Golden Bachelor” star Gerry Turner is turning the page once again, this time with keys in hand.

Turner revealed via Instagram that he and fiancée Lana Sutton have officially closed on a new home together. Sharing a carousel of photos of the couple smiling in front of their house, Turner reflected on what the milestone meant after a busy year of travel and blending families.

“There have been many great days over the last 12 months traveling, bonding families, building a loving and fun relationship with Lana,” he wrote. “But yesterday was one of the very best. Finding our perfect home was an arduous journey. So gratifying to close on our new home together.”

A Fresh Start After a Public Chapter

Turner, 74, confirmed his relationship with Sutton in April 2025, one year after his divorce from “The Golden Bachelor” winner Theresa Nist, per Us Weekly. He previously shared that Sutton first reached out by sliding into his DMs and that their connection quickly grew after their first date in March 2025.

The relationship progressed quickly. By October 2025, Turner announced their engagement on Instagram, writing that he had found his “perfect match” and that she said yes, according to Us Weekly. He later revealed that he designed Sutton’s engagement ring with inspiration from the Eiffel Tower after a romantic trip to Paris, ultimately proposing during a getaway in Asheville, North Carolina, according to reporting tied to his memoir “Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV.”

Before Sutton, Turner’s journey to love played out publicly. He proposed to Nist during the season 1 finale of “The Golden Bachelor,” and the pair wed in a televised January 2024 special. However, they announced their split just three months later. In his November 2025 memoir, Turner opened up about the emotional toll of the divorce and the intense public scrutiny that followed, admitting he struggled deeply before refocusing on his daughters and moving forward.

Closing One Door, Opening Another

In November 2025, Turner also found a buyer for his Indiana lake house, according to a report by Realtor.com. The home had once been part of the couple’s plan to relocate to Charleston, South Carolina, with Nist. That move never materialized, and the sale marked another step away from that chapter.

Now, Turner and Sutton appear firmly focused on their future together. Over the past year, Turner has shared glimpses of family gatherings, travel and everyday moments with Sutton, describing her as a kind-hearted partner and someone he envisions a long-term commitment with.

With an engagement behind them and a new home officially secured, Turner seems to be embracing this next season with optimism. As he put it, closing on their home was “one of the very best” days of the past year and “so gratifying to close on our new home together.”
