Susie Evans and Justin Glaze’s relationship apparently didn’t end when viewers thought it did. In fact, the former couple quietly gave their romance another chance away from the cameras.
The “Bachelor” franchise stars had already experienced several hiccups before unexpectedly crossing paths again on “Bachelor in Paradise.” However, it now appears their emotional reunion on the show wasn’t the end of their complicated relationship.
Evans has revealed that she and Glaze quietly gave their romance another chance after leaving Paradise. The former couple apparently spent months trying to determine whether they could make their relationship work. Ultimately, they separated again.
Susie Evans And Justin Glaze Secretly Tried Again

Evans opened up about what happened after “Bachelor in Paradise” during a September 8 appearance on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.
Her reunion with Glaze on the reality show didn’t go exactly according to plan. During a dramatic Rose Ceremony, Glaze offered Evans his rose instead of Lexi Young, with whom he had been developing a connection. Evans turned down the rose, however, as she believed Glaze and Young had essentially agreed that he would save her. She didn’t realize at the time that the gesture carried more meaning.
“If I had understood more, or I would’ve pulled him for a conversation in that moment and been like, ‘Hey, can we exit the Rose Ceremony and have a conversation?'” she recalled during the interview.
Evans said she also tried to speak with Glaze after the ceremony, but she was informed that he wasn’t ready to have the conversation. The pair went on to reconnect after returning to Los Angeles and realized they still shared strong feelings.
“We had a conversation, and we both were crying,” Evans revealed. “It was probably a month or two of grey areas where we’re like, ‘We still love each other.'”
Eventually, they decided to give things another shot, away from the cameras. “I think we dated for three months privately, trying to figure out if we could make it work,” Evans revealed.
Their reconciliation remained successfully private. Fans watching the pair’s Paradise drama were unaware that another chapter of their relationship was unfolding behind the scenes.
Evans Reveals Why Their Second Chance Didn’t Work
Getting back together didn’t fix the problems that contributed to the couple’s first breakup. During the podcast, Evans acknowledged that some of the same issues they initially faced resurfaced when they tried again.
“I mean, we broke up for a reason originally,” Evans explained. “So, all of that kind of came back up, and then also there was so much pain. I mean, relationships are hard in general; add in public perception and a TV show, and, I mean, there’s so much.”
At one point, Evans and Glaze decided to end things again, but Evans soon realized she wasn’t ready to let go. She recalled leaving Glaze’s home after their split and returning to her own house. Once there, she felt “so sick” about the decision.
“I called him back and was like, ‘I know we just ended things, but I’m putting myself out there and saying I want to try one more time,” she shared. Despite another attempt, the pair eventually accepted that things weren’t working.
Back in September 2025, appearances together at Los Angeles gatherings sparked reconciliation speculation. This revelation fills in a major gap in their post-‘Paradise’ story.
Susie Evans Still Misses Her Friendship With Justin Glaze
The couple initially started their relationship as just friends. The pair became close after moving to Los Angeles around the same time.
Evans had publicly praised Glaze’s friendship years before their relationship turned romantic. In a 2023 social media Q&A, she described Glaze as an “Intentional/genuine friend.”
That history apparently made their eventual breakup more complicated. During her latest interview, Evans admitted that she sometimes misses what they had before dating. “I still sometimes, I miss our friendship,” she confessed, even joking that perhaps they shouldn’t have dated.
By early 2026, the pair’s relationship had changed considerably. Evans revealed in a February episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast that she and Glaze were no longer keeping in touch.
“I think it would just be complicated and painful, and yeah,” she said at the time. “But we’re both rooting each other on, from a distance, for sure.”
