Jazz McKenzie: 5 Fast Facts on ‘The Voice’ Finalist

Four of the six finalists on “The Voice” season 28 finale are in place. They are now ready to sing for your votes on “The Voice” 2025. Jazz McKenzie is ready to take it all the way home for Team Bublé this week on “The Voice” 2025. The 31-year-old singer from Birmingham, Alabama, is hoping to give her coach, Michael Bublé, his third straight win as coach.

Here are five fast facts you need to know about Jazz, who is hoping to be named the winner of “The Voice” season 28 this week.

1. Four-Chair Turn During Blind Audition on ‘The Voice’

McKenzie was the final audition of the night during the season 28 premiere. She came out and performed “What’s Love Got To Do With It” by Tina Turner.

Once she got into that powerful chorus, Reba hit her button and at the same time, blocked Snoop. McKenzie ended up getting all four of the coaches to hit their buttons for her, so the fight was on.

Even though Niall tried to explain to Snoop that he was blocked, it didn’t register until later on. They all fought for McKenzie to join their team, but she chose to join Team Bublé and has been on it ever since.

2. McKenzie Started Singing Young

While Jazz is enjoying her time on “The Voice” season 28, she has been singing from a very young age. She started singing as part of her church’s children’s choir, according to The Birmingham Times.

While that was happening, her mother also made music a focus in the home. She told the media outlet that her mother made sure music was everywhere. Not just in the home, but also “in the car, on the way to school, at the store, even at home.”

Jazz was constantly around music, and it paid off.

3. Singing Was Just a ‘Side Job’ Before ‘The Voice’

Before making it to “The Voice” 2025 finale, Jazz worked at a cell phone store. She would perform occasionally. She always considered music to be a side job, but that’s all different now, she told The Birmingham Times.

McKenzie said, “This opportunity has replenished me. It showed me that when you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready. You never know when God is going to bless you.”

4. Big Plans If She Wins ‘The Voice’

While we will find out the winner of “The Voice” season 28 this week, it looks like McKenzie has some plans already made if she wins.

She told Yellowhammer News, “For the finale, I’m hopeful that my songs will show who I am as an artist and where I’m headed. I can’t wait for everyone to see it… If I win, I plan to keep building momentum, releasing some original music, performing on bigger stages, and using this platform to inspire other artists like myself that all things are possible.”

5. Dubbed ‘Best Singer’ on the Show

During the Knockouts, Jazz took on Teo Ramdel for Team Bublé. She sang “Cruisin’” by Smokey Robinson.

During rehearsals, Bublé joked that it was a good thing Jennifer Hudson wasn’t in the room because she would be throwing her shoes at her because it was so good.

The love for Jazz continued after her performance, as fellow coach Niall Horan praised her. He said it was so effortless for her, and she is “arguably the best singer in this show.”

  1. Average at best.
Lack of range shown in Finale was most evident.
Better have been eliminated in previous seasons. Nothing unique, nor epic that stood out for me.
