Ralph Edwards: 5 Fast Facts on ‘The Voice’ Finalist

There will be six artists battling it out on “The Voice” season 28 finale this week. While it’s taking him quite a few attempts, Ralph Edwards is ready to take it all the way home for Team Snoop this week on “The Voice” 2025. The 30-year-old from Fresno, California, has been on Snoop Dogg’s team since his blind audition.

Here are five fast facts you need to know about one of the frontrunners to be named the winner of “The Voice” season 28.

1. This Was Ralph’s 12th Time Auditioning for ‘The Voice’

As powerful as Ralph has been this season, something seems to stand out more than that. Edwards has auditioned for “The Voice” on multiple occasions.

In fact, he had auditioned 11 other times before this season, which made it his 12th time trying out for the show. Persistence definitely paid off for this California singer.

This 12th attempt is the furthest he’s gotten. It’s wild to think that when you listen to his voice, he didn’t make it any further in his 11 previous attempts. How did that happen?

2. Edwards Got Engaged on ‘The Voice’

It may have taken Edwards 12 times to finally make it on the show, but it only took him one time to get the love of his life to say yes.

After picking Snoop as his coach for “The Voice” season 28, Ralph went backstage to celebrate with his family. He came with a surprise, though, as he immediately got down on one knee and proposed to his now fiancée, Christina. Of course, she said yes!

3. Lead Singer of a Band

Despite coming to audition for “The Voice” 2025 as a solo singer, Edwards has a whole band at home supporting him.

Ralph is the lead singer of the band VibeCheck. They are a popular party/cover band in Fresno. They play soulful covers throughout the state. The band has been sharing on their social media during Edwards’ run on “The Voice,” so they are hoping he brings home the win this week.

4. He Was Born a Performer

Some people were just born to perform. It seems that Ralph Edwards may be one of those people.

He shared a video of himself singing as a child, three years old, and in his underwear. Even that young, he had a flair for music.

He went on to get formal training as part of the choir at Kastner Middle School and Clovis West High School, according to The Fresno Bee. He then transferred to RFK in Delano. After he graduated, he did a stint at Fresno City College, which is where he really learned to use and understand his voice.

5. Four-Chair Turn During Blind Audition

It has been a long journey for Ralph. For his blind audition, he sang “Lights” by Journey, who just so happen to be performing during this week’s Voice Finale.

It was a perfect night, as he got all four coaches to hit their buttons for him. As seen in his post on Instagram, he got emotional seeing it play out. Of course, he ended up picking Snoop Dogg as his coach, and here we are.

  1. Ralph was the only Vouce contestant worth listening to in the 6 person finale.
I have watched every season but this current one, and there were several eliminated in past seasons’s knock Outs and Battles that exceeded the 5 put up against Ralph.
Once again, pubescent females appear to be the largest voting block.
