The Voice Kids Star Tragically Passes Away In Hit & Run – She Will Be Missed

Nicole Valeria Vargas Gomez, who is a former contestant from Colombia’s The Voice Kids, tragically passed away at the age of 19 after she was killed in a hit-and-run, The Daily Mail reports.

The crash took place in Quindío, Colombia, and police are still looking for the driver who fled the scene. The incident also took the life of another man. The outlet added that Nicole was crossing the street when “an unidentified vehicle suddenly struck them.”

“The force of the impact threw both victims into the air, sending them onto the opposite side of the roadway,” the Daily Mail wrote. “Police confirmed that the driver allegedly did not stop to help and instead fled the scene.

Along with rising to fame on The Voice Kids at the age of 12, Nicole continued to pursue her music career. She was also studying Business Administration at the University of Quindío.

‘The Voice’ Family Recently Suffered Another Loss

Leo Rosas, who was the Season 8 runner-up on “La Voz,” the Mexican version of “The Voice,” tragically passed away at the age of 27 earlier this month, with family members confirmed the news to El Deber and asked for privacy during this painful time.

His uncle Alfredo Mendoza spoke passionately about Rosas legacy at his memorial. He was laid to rest at Las Misiones Garden Park Cemetery in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.

“We must remember him as he wanted, as a great singer, a young man who dreamed and achieved success, and who represented Santa Cruz and Bolivia,” Mendoza said. “He thrilled us, and we must remember him for what he was: a great man.”
