Perez Hilton has been granted visitation with his three children under a new court order. The arrangement allows him to spend time with his kids while supervised visits remain in place. The case also comes as rare footage of Hayden Panettiere’s first red carpet interview has resurfaced.
Perez Hilton Can See His Children
According to TMZ, a judge granted Perez Hilton visitation with his three children. The visits must take place under supervision. A family member can supervise the visits if both sides agree. A therapist can also oversee the time together.
Perez’s mother, Teresita Lavandeira, has been granted temporary custody of the children. According to Us Magazine, Judge Laura Cruz gave Teresita the authority to handle matters necessary for the care of 13-year-old Mario, 11-year Mia and 8-year-old Mayte. Perez remains their legal parent, but Teresita has custody on a temporary basis.
The order includes another condition. Perez must first receive psychiatric clearance before visitation begins.
The supervised arrangement will remain in place until the court orders otherwise. It can also change if Perez and his mother reach a different agreement.
Teresita also has authority to consent to necessary and reasonable medical and dental care for the children. She can also enroll them in school and decide whether to consent to testing or placement in special school programs.
His Three Children Mean The World to Him
Page Six previously highlighted how important fatherhood has been to Perez Hilton. The entertainment personality has spoken openly about his love for his three children.
He has previously explained how his family came together. His children were born through gestational carriers. Each child was born through a different surrogate, but the children share the same anonymous egg donor.
Fatherhood has remained an important part of his life. He once said he loves “being a dad more than anything else.”
Mario, Mia and Mayte
According to Page Six, Perez became a father for the first time in February 2013. His son, Mario Armando Lavandeira III, was his first child. Mia Alma was born in May 2015, and Mayte Amor Lavandeira completed the family in October 2017.
Perez Hilton Has a Path to Seeing His Kids
The new order gives Perez Hilton a way to maintain contact with his children, though the visits will have clear conditions attached to them.
Those conditions include supervision and psychiatric clearance. The arrangement can also change through a future court decision.
For now, the focus remains on keeping the children protected. The order also allows their father to remain part of their lives.
That is especially meaningful given how openly Perez Hilton has celebrated fatherhood. His children have featured prominently in his public reflections over the years.
The judge’s decision gives Perez Hilton an opportunity to see his three kids again. It also provides a structured arrangement for those visits moving forward. For a father who has repeatedly described his children as one of the most important parts of his life, the decision bring good news to what has been a difficult time. Paris Hilton has also recently offered a rare glimpse of her children during her Italy getaway.
