Since first appearing on TLC in 2008, the Duggar family has expanded far beyond Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children. As more of the siblings have gotten married and started families of their own, fans have become increasingly curious about the in-laws connected to the famous reality TV family.
One of the newer branches of the Duggar extended family is the Jones family, following Jason Duggar’s marriage to Madison Jones. Jason and Maddie’s relationship has introduced fans to a noticeably different family dynamic, from a much smaller immediate family to different educational and future family plans than many Duggar fans are used to seeing.
With that in mind, here are five fast facts to know about the Jones family in another edition of Duggar in-laws explained.
1. Jason Duggar Married Into the Jones Family in 2024
The thirteenth child and seventh son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Jason Duggar, married into the Jones family in 2024 when he tied the knot with Madison “Maddie” Jones on October 3, 2024. The young couple exchanged vows at The Estate at Sweetwater Creek in Newport, Tennessee. Jason was 24, and Maddie was 20 at the time of their wedding.
A number of Duggar family members and extended family members were part of Jason and Maddie’s bridal party. Jason asked his older brother, Jed Duggar, to serve as his best man. He also asked his three younger brothers, James Duggar, Justin Duggar, and Jackson Duggar, to serve as his groomsmen.
Maddie asked Jason’s four younger sisters, Johannah Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordyn Duggar, and Josie Duggar, to serve as her bridesmaids. She also asked Jed Duggar’s sister-in-law, Lauren Nakatsu, to be one of her bridesmaids as well.
2. Jason Duggar’s Father-In-Law Is Stuart Jones
When Jason Duggar married Maddie Jones, he gained Stuart Jones as a father-in-law. The Jones family patriarch was born on June 23, 1978, and currently resides in Oneida, Tennessee. He works in the IT industry and formerly managed the Verizon store in Oneida.
3. Jason Duggar’s Mother-In-Law Is Crystal Jones
Jason Duggar’s mother-in-law is Crystal Jones. The Jones family matriarch was born on July 15, 1977. She tied the knot with her husband, Stuart, on February 12, 1999.
Crystal is an elementary school teacher and currently teaches Pre-K at Oneida Elementary School in Tennessee. Unlike the majority of the Duggar in-laws, the Jones family never homeschooled their children, preferring to send them to public school.
4. Jason Duggar’s Brother-In-Law Is Camden Jones
Unlike Jason’s family, Maddie’s immediate family is quite small. Her parents, Stuart and Crystal, have only two children: Maddie and her younger brother, Camden Jones.
On a podcast episode with Jason’s sister and brother-in-law, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo, they jokingly asked Jason if he could name all of Maddie’s siblings in order. Jason paused for a moment, jokingly saying, “Ohh! Maddie… and Cam.” More impressively, Maddie was able to recite all 19 Duggar siblings in birth order during the podcast.
Jason Duggar’s brother-in-law is currently a freshman at Oneida High School. In the spring of 2026, Camden was named to Middle Tennessee State University’s “True Blue 100.” This is a great honor as the list represents 100 high school freshmen who excel academically.
5. Jason and Madison Duggar Are Waiting to Have Children
While on “The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast,” Jason and Maddie also discussed their desire to wait to have children. As fans of the Duggar family understand, this is a clear departure from typical Duggar family norms.
In the August 2025 podcast episode, Maddie discussed still being in school and wanting to finish her college degree before becoming a mother. Maddie is planning to graduate in May 2026 with a degree in elementary education.
So, while the Jones family may not share any grandchildren with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar just yet, it may not be long before Jason and Maddie add to the Duggar family’s ever-growing list of grandchildren.
