1. Josiah Duggar Married Into the Swanson Family in 2018
Josiah Duggar married Lauren Swanson on June 30, 2018, at John Brown University’s Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Josiah was 21, and Lauren was 19 when they tied the knot.
The young couple’s courtship and wedding were filmed for “Counting On.” Josiah had his older brother, Joseph Duggar, serve as his best man. Josiah also had five of his other brothers serve as his groomsmen, including Josh Duggar, Jed Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar, Jason Duggar, and James Duggar.
Lauren had her sister, Lily Swanson, serve as her maid of honor. She also had multiple Duggar family members in her bridal party, including two of Josiah’s sisters: Jana Duggar Wissmann and Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth, along with Josiah’s sister-in-law, Kendra Caldwell Duggar.
2. Josiah Duggar’s Father-In-Law is Dwain Swanson
Josiah Duggar’s father-in-law, Dwain Swanson, was born in November 1975. He currently lives in Gentry, Arkansas. He has worked in construction and lawn care for the majority of his career. Swanson is the owner of Swanson Construction and Central GA Lawn & Design, LLC.
Dwain Swanson appeared on an early episode of “19 Kids and Counting” with his family in 2010, when the Swanson family attended a Duggar family dinner party. Swanson also appeared on “Counting On” when his oldest daughter, Lauren, started courting Josiah Duggar. He also served as the officiant at Lauren’s wedding to Josiah.
3. Josiah Duggar’s Mother-In-Law is Lana Swanson
Lana Swanson was born in December 1975. In 1998, she got engaged to Dwain Swanson in Milledgeville, Georgia. The couple tied the knot later that year, on September 9, 1998.
Josiah Duggar’s mother-in-law has spent the majority of her adult life raising children, homeschooling them, and taking care of the Swanson family household. Like her husband, she also appeared on an early episode of “19 Kids and Counting” and later episodes of “Counting On.”
4. Dwain and Lana Swanson Share 10 Children
Dwain and Lana Swanson are the proud parents of 10 children, with 4 daughters and 6 sons.
In birth order, the Swanson siblings include: Lauren (1999), Lily (2002), David (2003), Lydia (2007), Daniel (2009), Dustin (2012), Drew (2014), Luci (2016), Duke (2018), and Dallas (2020).
