Fans of “Unexpected” first met Amaya Georgeff during Season 7 of the TLC series, where viewers watched her navigate teen pregnancy, relationship struggles, and becoming a young mother alongside her then-boyfriend, Jose.

However, Mama G soon came to realize that she was mistaken. She was informed that Amaya did like guys after Amaya came to her and told her she was pregnant. 2. Jose and Amaya Broke Up When Sammy Was a Few Months Old
When Amaya was pregnant with her son, Mama G allowed Jose to move into the family home. The requirements were that he get a job and contribute twenty-five percent of his paycheck toward expenses for Sammy and the household. Both Mama G and Jose held up their end of the bargain.
However, when Sammy was only a few months old, Jose and Amaya ended their relationship. During a TikTok live, Amaya opened up to fans about some of the issues that led to the split. The teen mom shared, “I’m not going to say that we hated each other. But the arguments we had on the show were a lot worse off-camera.”
Some “Unexpected” fans also told Amaya on the live that she “didn’t deserve Jose.” In response, Amaya revealed that Jose actually cheated on her, sharing, “I didn’t deserve to be cheated on multiple times and keep going back to him and get broken up with on my mom’s birthday while I was pregnant either!”

3. Amaya Started Dating Her Girlfriend Jahnay After Breaking Up With Jose
In the Season 7 finale of “Unexpected,” it was revealed that Amaya started dating her girlfriend Jahnay several months after she and Jose called it quits. Before becoming romantically involved, Amaya and Jahnay had already been friends for quite some time.
