WCTH Season 13 Episode 7 Recap Sets Up New Stakes

Episode 8 follows the dramatic events of season 13, episode 7, titled “In a Jam.” In that installment, Hope Valley rejoiced after a new suspect emerged in the wildfire investigation, clearing Cooper and Toby of accidental wrongdoing. However, the truth remained unsettled.

Christopher Hughes admitted to Nathan that he felt like “a coward for not standing up to his boss” when he was asked to dispose of a transformer improperly. During their attempt to retrieve it, a carriage forced them off the road, leaving Christopher critically injured and Nathan with an abdominal wound.

Dr. Faith later informed Henry that Christopher suffered “a concussion and a few injured ribs,” adding that he would be “okay to go home soon as long as he does not show new signs of trauma.” When Christopher regained consciousness, he warned that “his boss wants to silence him.”

Meanwhile, Minnie faced a separate challenge when she needed to produce 500 jars of homemade jam in under 24 hours. With help from Rosemary, Elizabeth, and other neighbors, the community completed the order. After Joseph successfully shipped the jam, he told Minnie they would now have the funds to open a new café and suggested they name it “Minnie’s.”

The episode also delivered personal developments. Mike told Mei that “life is too short” and shared that he wants children. Nathan later told Elizabeth that his brush with death “really scared him,” and he pledged to find out who tried to kill him and Christopher.

As episode 8 approaches, viewers will see whether the investigation advances and how Lucas handles his next chapter.

To see what happens next on “When Calls the Heart,” fans can tune into the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, February 22, at 8/7c.
