Minnie has a dilemma when she finds out she needs to make 500 jars of her homemade jam for an order in under 24 hours. Rosemary and Elizabeth overhear her concern while at the local Hope Valley mercantile and offer to help her make all of the jam she needs.

Leland talks to Lucas about Edie’s ex-fiancé, Fernando, apologizing for hiring him to help with the blueprints of his construction project without talking to him first. Lucas reassures Leland that Fernando’s presence won’t be a problem.

Christopher meets his dad, Henry, to talk about where he buried the transformer. Christopher leaves in a hurry, though, when he sees the headline in the newspaper that his dad was reading about a new lead in the investigation. Although Hope Valley is unaware of Chris’ involvement, he’s afraid about everyone finding out the truth behind why it started in the first place.

Christopher goes to meet Nathan to find where he buried the transformer, who reassures the young man that he is doing the right thing.

Minnie and a group of helpful neighbors spend the afternoon making jam for her big, unexpected order. During which, Mike asks Mei if she wants to start a family, taking her by surprise. When Mike gets stung by a bee, his face begins to swell, leaving Mei to rush him to the infirmary.

Christopher tells Nathan that he felt like a coward for not standing up to his boss when he knew that his boss asking him to dispose of the transformer was the wrong thing to do. During their walk to locate the buried transformer, a carriage runs them off the road, leaving Christopher critically injured.

Lucas, Edie and Fernando rush after a horse that had been missing from Benson Hills ever since the fire. Lucas makes several attempts to lasso the horse until Fernando steps in to gently secure the animal with a loving touch and his soft singing voice. Edie tells Lucas that horses can’t resist her ex, leaving Lucas to shake his head in annoyance.

Rosemary and Elizabeth save Minnie from sending out bitter jam after a slight mishap. Meanwhile, Mike reiterates to Mei while at the infirmary with Dr. Fatih that life is too short and he really wants to have kids.

Nathan rushes Christopher to the infirmary after he suffers a head injury when they were run off the road. When they get there, Nathan realizes that he has an open wound on his abdomen.

After testing all of the jars of jam to find the bitter ones, Joseph hauls the crates to the train station before it’s too late.

Dr. Faith tells Christopher’s dad that his son suffered from a concussion and a few injured ribs, but he will be okay to go home soon as long as he does not show new signs of trauma. When Christopher wakes up, he tells his dad that his boss wants to silence him. Nathan, recovering from his mild wound, tells Elizabeth at the infirmary that he will do anything to find who tried to kill him and Christopher.

After the train was delayed for 10 minutes, Joseph runs home to tell Minnie that her jars of jam were successfully sent and now they’ll have the money to open a new cafe, which Joseph suggests they call “Minnie’s.”

Dr. Faith goes to see Elizabeth for advice on how to spend more time with her Lily, whom she is guardian to. Elizabeth tells her that although she can’t turn her patients away, she still needs at least one day off.

Molly surprises Dr. Faith by telling her that she is taking courses to become a certified nurse. Finally, Dr. Faith might be able to have more time off to be with Lily.

Nathan and Bill meet to tie up loose ends about who ran Nathan and Christopher off the road. While trying to find out who was driving, Henry goes to tell them that Christopher left town and wrote a note, telling him that he didn’t want to help with the investigation anymore.
