Former Vogue Cover Girl & Robert de Niro Movie Love Interest: See Her Now at 79

Former model and actress Ingrid Boulting was recently spotted enjoying a rare outing in Ojai, California. The 79-year-old star kept things casual as she walked her dogs through the city. Fellow 79-year-old Elton John was also spotted with his rarely seen teenage sons.

According to the Daily Mail, Ingrid Boulting has traded her former Hollywood lifestyle for a quieter career as an artist and yoga instructor.

In the photos, Ingrid Boulting wore a relaxed purple short-sleeve V-neck T-shirt with dark green, slouchy trousers cropped at the ankle. She paired the outfit with light gray sneakers and a colorful teal, white and black animal-print scarf. The former Vogue cover girl also carried a large black woven tote bag. She carried a gray quilted accessory, along with a set of keys. She added a delicate pendant necklace and several rings, while her long silver hair was worn loosely pulled back.

The candid outing offered a look at a woman who once graced the pages of fashion magazines and starred opposite one of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Ingrid Boulting’s Vogue Years

Long before her Hollywood career, Ingrid Boulting was making a name for herself in fashion.

According to the Daily Mail, Boulting appeared on four British Vogue covers. Three were photographed by David Bailey, while Norman Parkinson photographed the fourth. She had already begun attracting attention at a remarkably young age.

Boulting trained as a ballet dancer after moving to England at age nine. She attended the Royal Ballet School in Richmond and landed her first magazine cover at just 15.

Ingrid Boulting Starred Opposite Robert De Niro

Ingrid Boulting landed her most notable film role in the 1976 Hollywood drama “The Last Tycoon.”

As reported by the Daily Mail, Boulting played Kathleen Moore, the woman who becomes the romantic interest of Robert De Niro’s character, Monroe Stahr. De Niro played an ambitious Hollywood studio executive in the film, which was loosely inspired by legendary producer Irving Thalberg.

The movie was based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s final, unfinished novel. It also marked the last film directed by the celebrated filmmaker Elia Kazan.

The role gave Boulting the chance to star alongside De Niro in a major Hollywood production. She later returned to the screen in the 2006 movie “Conversations with God.”

From Hollywood to Yoga and Art

These days, Ingrid Boulting lives a very different life from her years as a Vogue cover girl and Hollywood actress.

According to the Daily Mail, she now works as an artist and yoga instructor in Ojai. She is also the founder and owner of Sacred Space Studio.

Her current career made her recent outing especially fitting. During her walk, Boulting was photographed stopping to stretch and showing off some of her yoga moves.

The moment also connected with her earliest training. Before modeling and acting, Boulting had spent years studying ballet. Her career has taken her through several very different worlds, from dance and fashion to film and yoga.

At 79, Boulting appears to be enjoying a quieter life away from the spotlight. Her recent dog walk offered a rare glimpse at where the former model and actress is now.

Another 79-year-old, Susan Sarandon, made an elegant Venice Film Festival appearance days after sharing an emotional tribute to her late “Rocky Horror” co-star Tim Curry.
