Julie Chen Starts ‘Big Brother 28’ Countdown With New Fan Question

Julie Chen Moonves is giving “Big Brother” viewers something new to debate before Season 28 starts.

The longtime host shared a new Instagram post on May 18 as the countdown continues for “Big Brother 28,” which premieres Thursday, July 9 on CBS. The season was already announced by CBS, but Chen Moonves’ latest post gave viewers a fresh prompt: What should the show bring back?

“What are your favorite things from past seasons that you’d love to see in #BB28?” Chen Moonves wrote on Instagram.

That was enough to get former houseguests, recent players, longtime viewers, and even Pluto TV in the comments.

Julie Chen Moonves’ New ‘Big Brother 28’ Post Draws Former Players

Several former “Big Brother” players jumped into Chen Moonves’ comments with their own reactions to the countdown post.

Angela Murray, who competed on “Big Brother 26,” kept her answer simple.

“👏 Houseguests that go all in!” Murray wrote.

“Big Brother 27” star Morgan Pope was also ready for the new season.

“WE ARE SO BACK BABY!!!!” Pope commented.

Jimmy Heagerty, who also appeared on “BB27,” wrote, “July can’t come soon enough.”

“Big Brother 25” houseguest Cameron Hardin added, “Bring it Ms. Julie!”

Chelsie Baham, who won “Big Brother 26,” also joined the countdown.

“We’ve BEEN ready,” Baham wrote.

Fans Weigh in on ‘BB28’ Requests

Paul Abrahamian and Bronte D’Acquisto are up for nomination on “Big Brother 18.”

The fan replies were a mix of nostalgia, game requests, and very specific “Big Brother” deep cuts.

One viewer wrote, “BRING BACK THE KEY WHEEL JULIE!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!”

The key wheel was used in older seasons during nomination ceremonies. The Head of Household would pull keys from a circular box to reveal which houseguests were safe. The two players without keys were nominated for eviction.

Another commenter wrote, “Pandora’s box 🤭”

Pandora’s Box was a twist used in past seasons where the Head of Household could open a mystery box. It usually came with a reward, a punishment, or both.

Other viewers asked for returning players, a 9-person jury, evicted houseguests battling back into the game, and older houseguests who are not influencers.

Other requests included food competitions, Have-Not competitions, and “Big Brother” icon Britney Haynes hosting a competition.

“Make Julie Chen a houseguest,” another person wrote.

Streaming service Pluto TV also entered the comments with a returnee request of its own.

“how do we negotiate Vanessa’s return,” the account commented, referring to “Big Brother 17” runner-up Vanessa Rousso.

One of the more specific callbacks came from a viewer who wrote, “Jen Johnson’s red unitard.”

Johnson competed on “Big Brother 8.” During that season, she wore a red unitard as part of the game, cementing it as one of the more iconic “punishments”—she rocked it.
