‘Big Brother’ Houseguest Shares ‘Silly’ Memory With Late Mickey Lee

Jimmy Heagerty is looking back on a memory with the late Mickey Lee rooted in the wonderfully weird rules of the “Big Brother” house.

The season 27 houseguest shared the story in an April 29 post on X, recalling a small early-game moment involving Lee, production, and the Diary Room.

Heagerty and Lee were aligned early in the game before their “Big Brother” paths took a turn a few weeks later.

The post comes four months after Lee’s death on December 25, 2025. She was 35.

Heagerty said the memory came back to him recently and involved a Diary Room request from early in the season.

“I just remembered this but week 1 or 2 Mickey and I were trying to get production to let us do a diary room session together,” he wrote on X.

Production was not interested.

“They were like HELL NO 💀,” Heagerty wrote. “And we just walked away laughing.”

Heagerty said the small moments like that still stand out to him.

“It’s those silly funny moments that always bring a smile to my face,” he wrote. “Love you Mickey🫶🏼”

The moment fits into a very specific part of the “Big Brother” format. Houseguests usually enter the Diary Room alone to talk through life inside the house, including strategy, competitions, nominations, eviction votes, and house drama.

Joint Diary Room sessions are not common unless they are tied to a challenge, punishment, twist, or specific segment. That made Heagerty and Lee’s request a funny ask, especially early in the game.

Mickey Lee and Jimmy Heagerty Were Early ‘Big Brother’ Allies

Heagerty and Lee’s “Big Brother” relationship started with trust before turning into one of the season’s more personal game splits.

The two were part of the “Triple Threat” alliance with Morgan Pope, one of the first groups of the summer. For a while, the trio looked like a real game group, with Heagerty, Lee, and Pope comparing notes as the season began taking shape.

That changed after Heagerty’s Head of Household reign. Lee and Pope questioned some of his decisions, including whether he was making moves that actually protected the alliance.

By the time Lee gained power in Week 4, after using a special power to take over Rylie Jeffries’ HOH, the trust between them had already started to crack. She eventually nominated Heagerty as a replacement nominee, ending the alliance and sending him out of the house.

Rachel Reilly and Keanu Soto may have owned the season’s official frenemy storyline, but Heagerty and Lee had their own messy little game arc, too.

When the show wrapped, the two remained besties outside of the house, with Heagerty calling Lee “one of my closest friends” from the season in a post just two days before her death. He also spoke out about their relationship in the days after her passing.

“Mickey, my heart is absolutely broken. During #bb27 you were my first friend, my first #1, and my OG ride or die,” Heagerty wrote. “Outside of the house we reaffirmed our friendship, and that meant more to me than you’ll ever know.

“What we built wasn’t just a game relationship, it was real, and it mattered.”

Lee died on December 25, 2025, at age 35. Her family confirmed the news in a statement shared on Instagram at the time, writing that her “light, legacy, and impact will never be forgotten.”

Her death came after she suffered multiple cardiac arrests following complications related to the flu.

During season 27, Lee became known for bold gameplay and a willingness to make major moves. Her takeover of Rylie Jeffries’ HOH became one of the season’s biggest power shifts, especially after she used the week to target Heagerty.

Lee later found herself fighting to stay in the game as the house turned against her. She saved herself with key competition wins before she was evicted on Day 59, finishing in 10th place just before the jury phase.

Shortly before she was hospitalized, Lee spoke about her outlook on life during an appearance on the “Hip Hop United LLC” podcast.

“I wake up and I thank God everyday that I’m here,” Lee said at the time. “I’m happy when that happens. I have another day. I have clothes on my back, I have food on the table and I have my village.”
