‘Big Brother 28’ Chuk Reacts to Taylor’s Viral Hygiene Comments

Chuk Anyanwu is opening up about one of the most uncomfortable moments of his “Big Brother 28” experience.

The former houseguest recently spoke about the viral conversation in which Taylor Brown confronted him about his personal hygiene, telling him that she believed his grooming habits were contributing to an odor in the bathroom.

Chuk said the conversation caught him off guard, particularly because Taylor singled him out despite several men sharing the bathroom.

“It was one of those things too where I felt like it was so rude because we had so many guys in the house, and for her to be so accusatory towards me, saying that she has four brothers, she knows it’s me? It was like the weirdest thing ever,” Chuk told CinemaBlend.

He added that he takes his personal hygiene seriously.

“I’m someone who’s huge on skincare, my hygiene, all that,” he said.

Chuk Says Taylor’s Approach Felt “Rude”

The conversation happened while Chuk played chess with Haley Thogmartin. Taylor approached him and claimed that his hygiene “down there” was causing an odor in the bathroom. She suggested that he “manscape” to address the issue.

The moment quickly spread beyond the live feeds and became a viral topic among “Big Brother” viewers.

Chuk said the attention did not surprise him given that the houseguests live under constant surveillance.

“It’s going viral [laughs], it’s going to happen. Things are going to happen. You’re literally live, right?” he said.

However, he remained bothered by the way Taylor approached him.

“It was one of those things where I just found it so rude,” Chuk said. “I knew if I stayed in the house, my relationship with her was going to be forever changed.”

Chuk said the exchange became a turning point in how he viewed Taylor.

“She was someone who was hot and cold. And that was like that ultimate, ‘Yeah. “ You’re done,” he said.

Chuk Had No Plans to Work With Taylor

Chuk said the conversation affected his willingness to work with Taylor if he remained in the game.

“I also hate how accusatory she was toward me while also knowing I’m going through such a tough week on the block and as a Have-Not,” he said. “I could not imagine going to someone and being so accusatory and so rude.”

Chuk ultimately left the “Big Brother 28” house after a 9-1 eviction vote, with Haley casting the only vote to keep him.

His exit came after Kamuela “Kamu” Kirk won the Power of Veto but chose not to use it on Chuk or Haley. Chuk later said that decision showed him where Kamu’s loyalties were shifting inside the house.

Also Took Issue With Game Advice

The hygiene conversation was not the only point of tension between Chuk and Taylor.

Taylor also advised Chuk on how to campaign for votes while he sat on the block. Chuk dismissed the advice because he felt Taylor had struggled to build her own alliances and had already spent time on the block.

“I love taking advice and I’m open to someone who’s super open to advice and super open to listening,” Chuk said. “But when it’s coming from Taylor, who she truly doesn’t really campaign or play the game or form certain alliances, she kinda just goes off of, ‘Hey, I clean in the house. You guys keep me in the house. Why would you want me out of the house?’”

Chuk said he would have listened differently if the advice came from players he considered stronger competitors.

“If it was coming from someone like Kamu, Haley, Devens, even Dee, even Yash, I would truly take that advice,” he said.

He also criticized Taylor’s approach to the game, arguing that she relied too heavily on her knowledge as a superfan.

“She’s a superfan. She is someone who knows freaking everything. But at the same time, I think with all that knowledge, it’s ruined her game,” Chuk said.

Despite their issues, Chuk said he remains appreciative of his time in the “Big Brother” house.

Now that he is watching the season from outside the game, he also has a clear prediction for who could win.

“I have to give it to my boy Kamu,” Chuk said, praising his competition ability, social relationships, and strategic thinking.

Chuk believes Kamu’s ability to work with players across the house could ultimately make him the player to beat.

“I do think Kamu will be the person to win the game,” he said. “Truly, hell of a competitor, amazing social game, and this guy can dice up the game like no one I’ve ever been able to see.”
