Megan Thee Stallion is officially a Broadway star, and the internet is eating it up. The Grammy-winning rapper made her debut in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” stepping into the role of Zidler for a limited run that is already generating major buzz online. Videos from opening night quickly started circulating, giving fans a glimpse at her high-energy performance and signature stage presence.

The performance builds to a standout curtain call moment, where she performs a medley of her hits, including “Savage,” “WAP” and “Body,” which had the audience on its feet.

Ahead of her debut, Megan opened up about taking on the challenge, calling it “an absolute honor” and sharing that she was excited to push herself creatively in a new space. “I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace,” she said, adding that she couldn’t wait for fans to see a different side of her, per People.

Producer Carmen Pavlovic described it as a “thrilling moment,” adding that Megan’s impact on music and culture made her the perfect choice to help close out the show. She also called the casting part of a bigger plan to end the musical on a high note, saying they wanted it to “go out with a spectacular bang.”

Before opening night, fans got an early preview of her look in costume, where she appeared in a bold red coat, top hat and fishnets, fully embracing the character’s dramatic, ringleader energy. The reveal sparked its own wave of excitement online. “We are READY ready,” the Grammys’ official Instagram account commented, while one fan wrote, “I literally can’t believe it. Offstage, Megan kept the moment going with a full fashion moment. After her debut, she stepped out in a sheer metallic dress paired with gold sandals, where fans greeted her outside the theater with flowers, according to WWD.
